About This Pub

Ah, the Lamb Inn – it's one of those pubs in Norwich that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the food; whether it's the chicken wings that remind some of home or the hearty burgers that pair perfectly with their cocktails, it's clear they've got the grub sorted. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick service, which makes you feel right at home. Plus, with a smashing beer garden and regular events like karaoke and live music, there's always something to liven up your visit. On the flip side, it does get packed, especially on busier nights, so you might end up queuing or sharing space with a crowd. And while most experiences are top-notch, a few have noted that the food isn't quite as stellar as it was years back, so it pays to manage expectations. All in all, if you're after a warm, welcoming spot for a catch-up with mates or a family meal, I'd say give it a go – it's got that balance of fun and reliability that makes for a memorable evening.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – from tasty chicken wings and burgers to their new menu offerings, it's all delicious and great value for money.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always checking in and making sure you're looked after, which really adds to the welcoming vibe.
  • They've got a brilliant beer garden and a cosy indoor atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a drink, especially in the heart of Norwich.
  • Loads of fun events like karaoke, live music, and free pool nights keep things lively and give you plenty of reasons to pop in regularly.
  • It's family-friendly and dog-friendly too, with options for everyone, including accessible facilities and a good range of beers and cocktails.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy, especially in the city centre, so you might have to wait for a table or deal with a bit of a crowd.
  • Some folks have mentioned that the food quality might not be as consistent as it used to be, based on past visits, so it could vary a tad.
  • If you're planning a late booking, keep in mind that it's more adult-oriented after 8pm, which might not suit families all evening.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Lamb Inn in Norwich. The food was excellent, especially the chicken wings they tasted just like the ones I had back home in Sri Lanka. The pub has a nice atmosphere inside, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the music in the evening made it even better. Highly recommend!

Booked in with the girls for first time Bottomless Brunch at the Lamb, awesome from start to finish, service was great, regularly checking in to take next drinks orders, we all chose the burger option, and it was very tasty and filling to keep up with drinks! Great price, great choice of cocktails, beers or prosecco, great food, great service, would definitely book in again

It was busy when I arrived but managed to get a table, lots of seating outside too. Bar staff were very friendly, felt like a nice atmosphere to sit and relax with a drink. Had the chicken and bacon club baguette which was good value, arrived quickly and was very tasty. My only gripe would be it was £6 for a bottle of low alcohol Ghost Ship that a felt was a little pricey. Dog friendly and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Nestled away in the middle of the city centre, is this gorgeous pub visually it is stunning, there’s a pink photo booth that’s a bit out of place but still funny to see peoples reactions, I remember coming years and years (perhaps 12) with family and remember the food being much better. We both had burgers and chips which were rather hard and lacking flavour (but still much better than any fast food place in the city)can’t fault the service, staff have great personality and were very friendly. The table we had opted to sit was a benched booth but the bench had arm rests and was massively challenging to get in without pushing the table (think we just chose a bad seat 😂) overall atmosphere great, food average, unlikely to return for food. But nice to return for a drink.
