About This Pub
Oh, The Garnet's a real treat if you're after that authentic pub experience in Norwich – it's been around since 1861, overlooking the market, and you can just feel the history in every corner with its old wooden floors and fascinating photos on the walls. I've heard from folks who've been that the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really adds to the relaxed, homely atmosphere. The drinks are spot on too, with a solid lineup of local ales and wines, and it's brilliant how you can grab a pizza from next door and enjoy it right there. Plus, being dog-friendly means it's perfect for a casual meet-up with friends or even a solo pint. On the flip side, it's a bit compact inside, so on busier days it might not be the most spacious spot, and some have mentioned they'd love to see more options on tap to mix things up. All in all, it's a lovely place for a laid-back evening – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives definitely outweigh the little niggles.

A classic. Very conveniently located, and has an awesome synergy with Brick's. Spent many a Friday having drinks and pizza with mates here.
Lovely establishment! The building in itself is very charming, with all of its little passageways and stairs. The staff were warm and friendly, the beer was jept well and the whole place had a very pleasant atmosphere. Good view from upstairs, as well. All in all, I would heartily recommend it.
Great place to stop off and have a quick pint. Quite small inside but it’s way better to sit outside anyways and watch what’s going on around you🙌 Needs a better selection of drinks on tap for sure.
Great place to have a pint and people watch. Great selection of beers and even has its own shop. Didn’t order any food, but Brick is next door and you can eat that on the benches, lovely.
Nice old pub which allows you to get pizza from next door. Also supports the lady who helps you plant terrariums, she uses their premises to hold workshops where you can collect a bevvy from the pub.
