We enjoyed a kiddy birthday meal here. I had the 12 oz gammon which was very tasty. Everyone else said their meals were good too. Very reasonably priced so that's a bonus. Staff also very friendly and accommodating.
Busy pub and restaurant during the day when I was there but a lot quieter in the evening. Staff very polite, patient and down to earth chatty. I liked the fox pictures.
Lovely meal, great service, very friendly staff. Served by Carrera, such a lovely lady. Dealt with any issues quickly and with a smile. Is a real credit to the company. Food was delicious, cooked by Harley, David and James! Have been to eat here as a big group many times and will definitely be returning for many more.
The Hungry Horse at Lakeside is a great spot for a casual meal. The burgers and fries are fantastic, juicy, flavorful, and satisfying and the portion sizes are generous.
Prices are decent overall, but the real value comes from their daily deals: two burgers for the price of one on Fridays, or a roast and a drink for only £10 on Sundays!
I’ve visited multiple times in the past two weeks due to work, and the experience has been mostly positive. When Lewis was our server, he was excellent, attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better.
That said, not everything on the menu hits the mark. For example, the curry was disappointing, it tasted like a microwave meal, and you can get much better from any takeaway shop. The Sloppy Joe toast is also underwhelming.
Overall, it’s a great place for an affordable meal, but some dishes could use improvement.
The staff here were lovely and the service was very fast. The food is cheap and filling. My only complaint was that when I went to the bar some old ladies stole my table... Luckily there were lots of other tables that were free so it didn't matter.
