About This Pub
You know, when I think about Kirton Leisure, it's one of those pubs that really stands out as a proper community hub – a family-run spot where the focus is on quality drinks, friendly faces, and a bit of everything under one roof. From catching the big football match on their screens to hosting a wedding in the function rooms, they've got options for all sorts of occasions, and it's refreshing to see they welcome kids and pets too. The reviews I've seen are mostly glowing, with folks raving about the pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff, like that wedding that sounded absolutely fabulous with delicious food and top-notch service. But, to be fair, there was one grumble about some bar staff not being as accommodating during a busy event, which is a pity because it could sour an otherwise great night. Overall, it's an inexpensive, versatile place that's worth a visit if you're in the area, especially if you're after a relaxed spot to unwind with mates or family – just keep in mind the reviews are a tad old, so popping in might give you the freshest take.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's a fantastic spot for watching sports, with big screens and a lively atmosphere that gets everyone buzzing.
-
They've got a great selection of beers and drinks at affordable prices, perfect for a casual night out.
-
Family-run with a warm, community vibe – they even welcome children and dogs, so it's ideal for all sorts of gatherings.
-
The function rooms are brilliant for events like weddings or parties, with positive feedback on the decorations and service.
Cons
-
There was that one review mentioning some unhelpful bar staff during an event, which could put a dampener on things if it happens.
-
The reviews are a bit outdated, with the most recent from 2022, so it's hard to know if the place is still buzzing as it used to be.
-
Operating hours vary and might not suit everyone, especially with earlier starts on weekends but potentially quiet midweek evenings.

Though I only visited for the first time for a Club meeting in a function room I found it very pleasant and friendly. A fair selection of beers. Nice place would go again.
Attended a wedding at this venue today, it was fabulous! It was beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and the catering staff were very polite and helpful.
Chloe and Adam who manage the leisure centre, are a lovely couple and do their best to make sure everyone has a happy experience.
We fully recommend this this venue for your special event.

Went here for a wedding, great wedding! But a bad review for the staff, a group of female bar staff to be precise. As weddings are expensive and others do know buying drinks at bars is as well, so people brought their own bottles and drinks ( still brought drinks from the bar) through out the night peoples bottles started to go missing full ones and not so full. As the bar staff were taking them and claiming them as the pubs property! One they aren't and are on tables or with people and two they weren't even empty. one bottle, an expensive one as well, that was a gift to the best man from the groom (unopened) was taken by the staff, we tried to get it back but they claimed it as pubs property and said "no bottles were taken". They were rude to the children that were playing around and having fun, saying things to the children in a angry manner like "I've got to clean that up" or "don't do that" and pulling faces and saying things with disgust. And its funny they say they have to clean up after us, as adults after the party came back a tided up. No staff about! Apart from the rude female staff great night and great venue (the one star is for the female staff not venue) (venue is 4/5) one thing about venue is toilets are to small.

Like I said your venue is great but your staff wasn't. Thats the thing I get you specified no drink to be brought but still your staff stole from our party. Its a wedding which means money was paid for the use of the venue. And also people would bring drinks as gifts. Your staff can't go around and take drinks off people. The best man gift and brides and grooms gifts got stolen because of your staff stealing them. Less drinks sold minor loss easily forgotten but theft is never forgotten.
This fantastic leisure centre will cater for all ages with a grand soft play area for the young and a versatile entertainment lounge. We took our lovely children to a family birthday party for our 2 year old nephew and 50 or more children, parents and grandies had a spectacular time.
A nice bar with a pool (ball game) area. At the time we were present there was a private function happening in another room which was not intrusive. The bar area was very football orientated for watching on three tv screens with world news showing on a fourth. There are, apparently, other features there such as snooker tables, a ball pit for kids and facilities for drama, acting and musical clubs to practice but these weren't witnessed with our visit. Clean, friendly and accepting of strangers. Thank you for a nice visit.
