Jenny Watts in Bangor

Ah, Jenny Watts – it's one of those classic pubs that feels like a proper local gem, being Bangor's oldest and all. I have to say, the food really impressed me; things like the sirloin steak and lasagne came out delicious and well-prepared, even if one review mentioned it being a smidge overdone, which didn't seem to bother most folks. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort you out, making the whole visit feel warm and inviting. Plus, with reasonable prices, it's easy to pop in for a bite without worrying about the wallet. On the downside, though, some areas are a bit too dimly lit, which might make you squint at your plate, and there was that odd whiff from the toilets that a few people picked up on – not ideal for a relaxed evening. Oh, and if it's a busy night, you might find yourself being nudged to move on from your table, which can take the edge off things. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, but it's worth going in with your eyes open to those little quirks – I'd still recommend giving it a go for the great grub and atmosphere.
