About This Pub

Ah, Jenny Watts – it's one of those classic pubs that feels like a proper local gem, being Bangor's oldest and all. I have to say, the food really impressed me; things like the sirloin steak and lasagne came out delicious and well-prepared, even if one review mentioned it being a smidge overdone, which didn't seem to bother most folks. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort you out, making the whole visit feel warm and inviting. Plus, with reasonable prices, it's easy to pop in for a bite without worrying about the wallet. On the downside, though, some areas are a bit too dimly lit, which might make you squint at your plate, and there was that odd whiff from the toilets that a few people picked up on – not ideal for a relaxed evening. Oh, and if it's a busy night, you might find yourself being nudged to move on from your table, which can take the edge off things. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, but it's worth going in with your eyes open to those little quirks – I'd still recommend giving it a go for the great grub and atmosphere.

Although the quality of the grub, attention from staff, and the general vibe of the place was decent, a couple of things weren't so fab. A very dark seating area, a bit of a whiff from the nearby bogs, and being asked to vacate our table after eating cos they said they needed it for another group! Even though there was no indication or reserved sign on our table to begin with! Was a tad miffed about this, as were some other diners. Pity

Great wee place, oldest pub apparently? However nice food, great service, reasonable prices. All & all, check it out, you won't regret it.

Visited here with a friend I was staying with in Bangor. We found the pub had a lovely atmosphere and the waiter serving us was lovely. I ordered the lasagne, which was deliciously prepared however maybe a little overdone but still tasty. My friend had the steak ciabatta, the temp was perfect and both our plates were scraped. Would certainly return for another visit to this local pub.

Food was amazing staff very friendly, the only down side is we had to sit upstairs because the only table downstairs was beside the door other than that couldn't fault this place
