About This Pub
Ah, the Golden Fleece – it's one of those pubs that just warms you up from the inside out, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant mix of traditional pub feel with a modern twist, especially with their incredible vegan offerings that have everyone raving. I mean, imagine tucking into a burger, doner fries, or even a full roast, all plant-based and packed with flavour – it's clear they've nailed the food side of things, and the daily deals make it even more appealing for a budget-friendly catch-up. The staff sound like absolute gems, always on hand with a smile and helpful advice, which really makes the place feel inviting. On the flip side, their online setup is pretty straightforward, just directing you to Instagram, so you might have to do a bit of digging for the full scoop. And while it's often described as cosy and not too hectic, that could be a downside if you're in the mood for a more energetic night. All in all, it's a top spot if you're after good grub and a laid-back atmosphere in Nottingham – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant, especially their vegan options like the tofish tacos and vegan beef roast – it's a real treat for anyone looking for delicious plant-based meals in a pub setting.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to chat about the menu, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a varied menu with daily offers, like a pint and meal for just £12 on Fridays, which makes it great value for a night out.
-
The atmosphere is lovely and cosy, with things like a roaring fire that adds to the charm, perfect for a relaxed Sunday treat or a quiet evening.
-
It's moderately priced, so you can enjoy a proper meal without breaking the bank, and the portions are generous too.
Cons
-
Their online presence is a bit basic – it's just an Instagram page, so you might need to check social media or pop in for the latest updates on menus or events.
-
The operating hours can seem a tad confusing with multiple listings, and they're closed one day a week, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any disappointment.
-
It might be on the quieter side at times, like early evenings, which is nice if you want a peaceful spot, but could feel a bit lacking in buzz if you're after a lively crowd.

Popped in for dinner on Saturday night. Absolutely delicious food. Had a burger and the doner fries followed by brownie. Staff were really friendly. We'll be back!
Looked and felt just like a completely normal pub but all of the food was vegan! This is exactly the sort of place I love. The food was incredible, I went for the tofish tacos and as it was Friday I got this plus a pint for £12. Relatively quiet at 6pm on a Friday, plenty of tables to choose from and not too noisy that we could chat easily
Incredibly varied menu with different offers every day of the week.friendly bar staff and a roaring fire made for the perfect Sunday treat! The vegan beef roast was delicious and the stuffing and potatoes were insane! Would definitely recommend 💚
We stumbled across this pace when searching for vegan restaurants in Nottingham. It turned out they had merged with the Pricly Pear restaurant. The food was fine. They have a reasonable number of plant-based meals. The portions were also decent. The ambience was also great. We would happily return here in future.
Great atmosphere. Staff was really friendly and happy to answer our questions regarding the menu.
Food was on point.... I could have eaten that again, great portions....
FOOD is absolutely amazing. We have come here twice already and it won't be the last time 😊
