About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the Flower Of The Valley in Rochdale – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a warm hug when you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making everyone feel welcome, which is just lovely for building that community spirit. It's got this charming, old-school vibe where you can enjoy a decent pint without the distraction of phones or screens, and they've even got monthly dart nights that sound like a right laugh for getting involved. Prices are spot on too, so it's ideal if you're after an affordable night out. On the downside, though, that no-electronics policy might not suit everyone; a couple of folks mentioned it can make things feel a bit quiet or flat if you're used to more energetic places with music or telly. Still, if you're in the mood for a proper, unpretentious pub experience where the focus is on good company and cracking conversations, I'd say it's well worth a visit – just pop along and see for yourself!

Cons

-
It's quite straightforward without music or TVs, so if you're after a livelier scene, it might not quite hit the spot.
-
As a typical Sam Smith pub, it sticks to the basics, which works for some but could feel a bit limited if you're looking for variety.

Regular Sam Smith experience.
No electronic devices (as at all Sam Smith pubs) makes the atmosphere very flat.
Decent pint though and clean enough so can't grumble really.
Nice local pub. Friendly service. Clean & great price for a pint.
Great pub, lovely friendly locals who have made us feel really welcome 😀 Great landlord and landlady who get involved with the customers and are there to have a chat to
Amazing, relaxing pub. Just how it was years ago
No phones allowed, no TV, no music
Just chat and meeting people and conversations
Staff from Landlords to bar staff know after 1 drink what you drink. I'd highly recommend it if you want to just go to a good pub, with good beer, put phone away, forget TV and music and just enjoy
