The Greengate in Rochdale

So, I've been having a look at The Greengate, that cosy pub up in Rochdale, and it's got quite a few things going for it that make it a lovely spot for a get-together. The staff are just brilliant, always pleasant and ready to help, which really sets a welcoming tone right from the off. They've got some cracking deals on the food front too, like two meals for a tenner on certain days – you can't beat that for a hearty, homemade bite with proper chips that feel just like something your nan might whip up. And if you're thinking of hosting something special, like a wedding do, they've shown they can go the extra mile, with one person raving about how they opened up just for their event and delivered amazing grub. It's got that warm, community feel with even a few cute pooches pottering about, which adds a nice touch. On the downside, though, the music can be a bit of a nuisance, blasting away and making it tricky to catch up with mates without raising your voice – such a pity when the tunes themselves are actually pretty fab.
