About This Pub

Ah, Cask & Feather in Rochdale – it's one of those places that really stands out for its warm, community feel, isn't it? From the reviews I've had a look at, most folks are absolutely chuffed with how welcoming the staff are; you hear stories like Gary's first visit, where Ledeane made him feel like an old regular straight away. The karaoke adds a fun buzz, and it's spot on for football crowds, with tales of great hospitality for away fans, including free coffee and food for the coach driver – that's proper thoughtful. With a solid 4.2 rating from plenty of happy visitors, it's clear this spot knows how to deliver a good night out. But, let's be straight, it's not all perfect; one person mentioned a staff member brushing off their questions with a laugh, which soured their evening a bit. Plus, with it only opening three days a week, you might find yourself planning around that, which is a tad inconvenient. All in all, if you're after a pint and some genuine good times in Rochdale, it's worth giving it a go – just keep those quirks in mind for a balanced visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It has a brilliant atmosphere with karaoke nights and a lively vibe that's perfect for a good laugh with mates.
  • A great spot for football fans, offering decent drinks and even some food to keep things going during matches.
Cons
  • There was one off-putting experience where a staff member didn't take a customer's questions seriously, which left them feeling embarrassed.
  • The pub's only open a few days a week, which might make it tricky to pop in if you're not around at the right time.

Good bar, great drinks, love the chill atmosphere but the experiance is shattered by a member of staff who laughs at you for questions about their products... It was embarrassing that my concerns was not taken seriously by who, I assumed, was running the bar that night. This person also proceded to tell other customers which lead them to them mock and laugh. Shame really, I am new to the area and I can see myself enjoying Cask & Feather if this is rectified.

Just went there following something i saw on social media about them being a decent pub for travelling football fans. Dianne and Kath were brilliant. Welcoming all the away fans, keeping a rowdy bunch in order, (no mean feat). They put on some food too. Atmosphere was brilliant and karaoke was funny. It was on our way to the oldham ground, but would go out of my way to visit them again. Thanks guys

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was a coach driver for a load of football fans, the staff gave us free coffee and food while we waited for the fans. Absolutely excellent place. Would definitely visit again.
