About This Pub
Ah, Fletchers Bar and Eatery – it's one of those places in King's Heath that just draws you in with its charm. I have to say, the live music scene here is something else; whether it's a local band or a resident DJ spinning tunes, it always adds that extra spark to an evening out. The drinks menu is spot on too, with a solid range of local beers and spirits that cater to all tastes, and it's nice to see thoughtful options for those going alcohol-free. The staff are genuinely friendly, creating that homely feel where you can relax with friends or even bring along the dog for a pint in the outdoor area. On the flip side, though, the hours can be a bit hit or miss, especially if there are private events, so you might want to plan around that if you're hoping for a quiet night. Overall, it's a brilliant spot for a bit of fun, but it does lean towards the lively end, so if you're after somewhere more low-key, it might not hit the mark every time. Still, I'd recommend giving it a go – it's got that authentic pub spirit that makes you want to come back for more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The live music and gigs are absolutely brilliant – it's a fantastic spot for catching local bands or a late-night boogie, making every visit feel special.
-
They've got a cracking selection of drinks, including local draughts and unique spirits, plus options like Kronenbourg 1664 0% on tap, which is perfect for those wanting a non-alcoholic choice.
-
The atmosphere is so welcoming and lively; it's ideal for a casual catch-up with mates or enjoying a stylish setting with friendly staff and a quirky layout that feels like a hidden gem.
-
It's super dog-friendly, which is great if you're popping in with your furry friend, and they've got a lovely outdoor area for when the weather's nice.
-
The food and service are top-notch, with a real emphasis on warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home.
Cons
-
The opening hours can be a tad unpredictable, especially with private functions that might affect availability, so it's worth checking ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
It seems more geared towards events and gigs, which means it might not always be the quietest spot if you're just after a relaxed pint without the buzz.
-
From what I've gathered, there might be some confusion around the venue's status at times, so double-checking if it's open could save a trip.

Great little bar. Only ever been when going to a gig (which have always been good)... but I will be going more often now I have discovered they have kronenberg 1664 0% on draft.
Lovely quirky pub with good staff and friendly clientele! Interesting selection of beers. Very dog friendly.
Went to see a show, second time in as many nights. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. 👌
Very stylish place. Good beers. Great atmosphere. Different gigs. Saw Ziggie Paul IV and trio play Hendrix and Clapton duelling with Tony Mac... WOW. and some Elvis with guest harmonica player .
Fabulous Place to visit.... Quirky in the sense that is has different rooms, looks small from the outside...rather like a tardis! The food is really good, staff are great, toilets are clean. They have live music. Fantastic outside area too. Well worth a visit.
