About This Pub
Ah, The Red Lion, what a gem in King's Heath! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to deliver a proper pub experience. The food stands out as a real winner – think hearty portions that leave you stuffed and happy, whether it's a midweek bite or a Sunday roast with the lot. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to that welcoming vibe you get as soon as you step through the door. It's moderately priced too, so you won't feel like you've splashed out unnecessarily. On the flip side, it does get quite lively and noisy when it's buzzing, which might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're hoping for a peaceful evening. Still, with its handy location near the M42 and spots like Highbury Park, it's a solid choice for a post-explore pit stop. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – the positives far outweigh the minor niggles, and it's got that classic pub charm that keeps folks coming back.

Went for Father's day meal. The food was fantastic. Big portions, hot and served in great time. Left feeling very full and wanting to know their gravy recipe. Highly recommended.
Excellent pub. Went here for lunch with my Mom & Dad and very pleasantly surprised. As I hadn’t been in this pub for some years, it exceeded expectations.
Lovely interior. Excellent menu choices, great food at a great price.
Service was excellent both at the bar & table. Very friendly, helpful staff. Served by Sam G who was lovely & very attentive. Thoroughly recommend this pub.
I had a great experience at The Red Lion! The food was absolutely lovely—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly throughout. One of the big plus points was the convenient parking—plenty of space, which made the visit even more hassle-free. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a relaxed meal with quality food and good service.
We got our table early. Served quickly. Can order food and drink at bar or scan QR code. Atmosphere inside busy and noisy. Car park at back from Howard Road. Also on Vicarage Road, so bus routes 11A, 11C and 35.
Had a lovely Christmas meal here this afternoon with the girlfriends family. The staff were SO friendly & efficient. Christmas spirit was high (and I'm sure the staff just wanted to get home to their families too,) but we were served with a smile. Thank you it's a 5☆ from me
