About This Pub
Ah, Feildens Arms in Mellor Brook – it's one of those spots that just draws you in with its quaint village charm and that homely feel you don't find everywhere. I love how the staff are always so cheerful and attentive, making you feel right at ease from the moment you walk in; it's like chatting with old mates behind the bar. The rooms are a real treat too, nice and clean with comfy beds for a proper rest after a day out. And if you're with the family or the dog, it's spot on for that relaxed, inclusive atmosphere. But, on the flip side, I've heard a few tales of niggles like no hot water popping up during refurb work, which could spoil things a bit. Plus, food might not always be on the menu, so you could end up popping to another spot for a bite, and the self-service breakfast isn't anything to write home about. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a catch-up, but it'd be even better if those little hitches were sorted – still, I'd pop back for the good vibes alone!

Lovely village setting. Owner announced on our arrival that they were undergoing refurbishment. Our room newly decorated and comfortable. However, no hot water. No food being served so we booked a table at The Millstone just a mile through the village. Excellent meal there. Self-service breakfast limited but adequate. Should be a good venue when refurbishment is complete.
We stayed here the other night after attending a wedding close by.
Clean rooms and comfy bed! If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back!
Lovely pub with a few comfy rooms and a very inviting landlord. Mark keeps an immaculate bar full of locals, it’s family and dog friendly.
A great home from home for a couple of nights. Thank you
Very busy when I went in party going on, but staff behind the bar were still very polite and friendly no stress it was a pleasure to be see how professionally they handled it. This business has now changed hands at the moment they are not doing food, but are about to start about the 21st of October so very soon, when that happens I will be updating this post. Place has recently reopened under new owners at the moment NO FOOD AVAILABLE. I don't think it can do anything without food.
