About This Pub

Ah, Directors Box, tucked away on Booth Street in Manchester – it's one of those pubs that really hits the mark for a good time out. From what I've gathered, the bottomless brunch is the star of the show; folks are buzzing about the tasty food, endless prosecco, and that effortless, laugh-filled atmosphere that turns a simple Sunday into something special. The staff? They're gems, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort out things like changing the telly for the snooker or rugby, making you feel right at ease. It's also ace for catching live sports or hosting a get-together, with plenty of offers and events to keep things exciting. On the flip side, it can be a bit subdued during quieter hours, so if you're hoping for a packed house, you might want to time your visit for evenings or weekends. And let's be honest, with prices on the moderate side, it's easy for the bill to mount up if you're going all out on drinks and food. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed yet fun pub experience – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, but keep an eye on your wallet and the schedule to make the most of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The bottomless brunch is an absolute winner – loads of people rave about the great food, endless drinks, and fun vibes, making it perfect for a lively catch-up with mates.
  • Staff are top-notch and really welcoming; from the reviews, servers like Alex and Sam go above and beyond to make you feel at home, even throwing in a few extras like shots.
  • It's a brilliant spot for watching live sport, with plenty of screens and a willingness to change channels, so you won't miss the big games like rugby or football.
  • The atmosphere is spot on for various occasions, from hen parties to corporate events, with options for private hire and tasty deals, especially during summer with rum cocktails and specials.
Cons
  • It might feel a bit quiet during off-peak times, like early afternoons on weekdays, so if you're after a buzzing crowd, you could end up with a more relaxed vibe than expected.
  • With moderate prices, things can add up quickly for a full day out, particularly if you're indulging in the bottomless options or cocktails, which might not suit those on a tight budget.
  • The operating hours seem a tad confusing from what's listed, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises if you're planning a late-night visit.

Absolutely buzzing after another top-tier bottomless brunch at Directors Box this Sunday! From start to finish, the vibes were immaculate — proper chilled, loads of laughs, and just a brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Massive shoutout to our superstar waiter, Alex — what an absolute gem! She actually remembered us from our very first brunch there well over a year ago (how mad is that?!). She was on it with the drinks, had the banter flowing, and made the whole experience feel so personal and fun. The food was spot on, the drinks kept coming (dangerously easy to lose count), and the atmosphere was just full of good energy. Honestly, couldn’t ask for a better way to round off the weekend. If you’ve not done a brunch at Directors Box yet — sort your life out and get it booked. Can’t wait for the next one already!

Friendly staff and welcoming. I requested to watch the snooker and the bar manager was happy to change channels on a couple of TVs. I went early afternoon on a Tuesday and the bar was quiet, therefore Iit is difficult to imagine the bar on a busy night. Loo's were clean (a nice change from the norm). Definitely will return

5⭐️ !!! Easily the best bottomless brunch I've ever done. Bottle of prosecco already on our table for our arrival, the food was top notch, drink selection was unbeatable and the service was great. Sam and Alex are a credit to the directors box, top class lads. Even chucked a couple of shots in for us at the end 😜 Legends!!!
