About This Pub

Ah, the Crown Hotel in Bradford – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews and their website, it's all about that community spirit, with staff who are generally brilliant at making you feel welcome and events like bingo and karaoke that get everyone buzzing, especially over the weekends. The drinks are spot on too, with reasonable prices and a decent range, plus they've got sports on the telly for those match days. It's inexpensive, open most days from around lunchtime till late, and they've even won awards for being community-focused, which is dead nice. But, to keep it real, there was that one review where someone had a rough time with what seemed like unfriendly service from the owner, so it might not always hit the mark. Still, with an overall rating of 4.4, it's mostly positive, and I'd say it's worth popping in for a pint if you're in the area – just go with an open mind and enjoy the good times while they're flowing.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, always up for a chat and making you feel right at home.
  • It's got a fantastic community vibe, with events like bingo and karaoke that really bring people together, especially on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced and there's a good selection to suit most tastes, making it an affordable spot for a pint or two.
  • The atmosphere is spot on for families and casual meet-ups, with a friendly feel that's perfect for unwinding.
  • They show sports on the screens and support local causes, which adds to that proper pub charm and sense of belonging.
Cons
  • There have been a few instances of less than stellar service, like one person mentioning the owner being a bit rude and standoffish, which could put a damper on things.
  • It might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're after consistently top-notch interactions, as experiences can vary based on who's behind the bar.

If I could give this place a zero I would the women who was appently the "owner" was just awful she was rude & standoff-ish I went in there the first time with my girlfriend & the dark haired women behind the bar looked my girlfriend up & down & just sorta sneered at her & then just looked away thankfully my gf didn't notice but I did but said nothing we left after one drink as we just felt like we weren't welcomed there. A few weeks later I went in there for a second time with a few mates & again was the same sour faced women at the bar again was hostile & rude to me & my two mates we were again made to feel like we weren't wanted so didn't even bother to finish our drinks there just left will never go back again fix ur attude up & for the love of god try to at least resemble so kind of hospitality & if you want repeat customers try not to be as rude to customers & make people feel they shouldn't be there no wonder the pub was mostly empty beside like 3 or 4 old people in there all looking as miserable as the staff never again!
