About This Pub

Ah, Clifton Cafe – it's one of those places that just feels like a breath of fresh air when you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the tasty grub, like that fantastic halloumi omelette or a refreshing frappe for brunch, all served up at prices that won't make you wince. The staff really shine too; they're polite, accommodating, and even adapt things to suit your needs, which is always a winner in my book. It's got this cosy, welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for popping in with mates for a chat over coffee or a smoothie. On the flip side, it's primarily a daytime spot, wrapping up by 4pm most days, so if you're in the mood for an evening pint or something more lively, you might end up disappointed. There was that one comment about a dish being a tad off with too much sauce, but honestly, that's a small blemish on an otherwise stellar reputation. All in all, with a solid 4.6 rating, it's well worth a visit if you're in Rugby and fancy a hassle-free, enjoyable meal – just plan for the daytime and you'll be golden.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious breakfasts like halloumi omelettes and fresh smoothies that leave you wanting more
  • Service is warm and welcoming, with staff going the extra mile, like whipping up an iced tea even if it's not on the menu
  • Lovely atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a relaxed catch-up, perfect for those lazy mornings or brunches
  • Prices are fair and reasonable, offering good value without breaking the bank
Cons
  • It's more of a daytime cafe, closing up around 4pm, so it's not ideal if you're after somewhere for evening vibes
  • Occasional slip-ups with dishes, like one person finding the sauce on their Eggs Royale a bit overpowering
  • No website or online presence means it's trickier to check menus or book ahead, which can be a minor hassle

Great cafe, great atmosphere, great food at a good price. Came here while passing through and would definitely visit again.

Cute cafe with nice staff. Had a couple of drinks from here such as a vegan blueberry smoothie, iced tea and a coffee. They didn’t have iced tea on the menu but when I asked they made it anyway which was fab. The breakfast looked nice but unfortunately haven’t had time to try. Service is good

Best place to have breakfast in Rugby. The NEW desert on the menu is my favourite 🥰 Always kind and polite customer service. The food is delicious. 😍 They even adapt to my need as I can not eat everything.

Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and food. 4 stars because the hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Royale was too much taking away from the taste. Everything else was good.
