About This Pub

Ah, Carters Arms in Manchester – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' feedback, the staff are spot on, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's having a good time, like that Ben chap who's getting rave reviews for keeping the tunes flowing. The atmosphere is spot on for a Saturday night out or watching the big match, with plenty of entertainment and a mix of music that caters to all tastes. It's got all the classics too – pool, darts, and even decent parking, which is a bonus in a busy area. But, fair's fair, it's a bit gutting to see it's closed for now, as per their site, so you might have to hold off on that pint. Still, once it's back up and running, it sounds like a winner for anyone after a relaxed spot to meet up with mates and soak in the community spirit. Overall, it's got that warm, welcoming feel that makes you want to return, just keep an eye on their status to avoid any disappointment.

Pros and Cons

  • It's got a cracking atmosphere, especially on Saturday nights with DJs and entertainment that gets everyone involved and having a laugh.
  • Top-notch for sports fans, with live coverage of Sky Sports and TNT, plus facilities like pool and darts to keep things lively.
  • Plenty of parking and a welcoming community vibe, perfect for catching up with friends or cheering on your team.
  • They've got some great offers and events lined up, making it easy to pop in for a pint and enjoy the buzz.
Cons
  • It's currently closed for the foreseeable according to their website, which is a real shame if you're planning a visit soon.
  • The operating hours can seem a bit inconsistent from what's listed, so you might want to double-check before heading out.
  • Not much info on prices, so it could catch you off guard if you're after something more budget-friendly.

Me and a group of friends came in as we saw an advertisement regarding a dj on Saturdays, it was a very fun night , there was a mixture of music for everyone to enjoy. I’d like to thank Ben for making the night memorable and enjoyable . Will definitely be returning :)

Been going in the carters for 17 years, great atmosphere and good crack. Played pool for this pub for 7 years and we recently won the sale and Altrincham first division title and will be playing in the premiership next year. We always get a few in on home games and get a good support off the regulars. Proud to be part of this pub, known to pour the best pint of Stella in Trafford. Keep up the good work Craig 👍🏻 Davo
