About This Pub

Ah, The Temple Inn in Sale – it's one of those classic local spots that just draws you in for a relaxed pint and a good laugh with mates. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really shine here; they're chatty and welcoming, making it feel like you're catching up with old friends rather than just grabbing a drink. The prices are spot on too – those affordable pints and special offers make it an easy choice for a budget-friendly evening. Plus, with live sports on the screens and a beer garden for sunnier days, it's got that lively, down-to-earth feel that's hard to beat. There's even a pool table and dart board for a bit of friendly competition. But, to keep it real, not everything's perfect; one reviewer mentioned it's changed hands and doesn't quite have the same quirky buzz it used to, which could be a letdown if you've been going for years. Still, with most people giving it high marks, I'd say it's worth popping in for yourself – you might just find your new go-to spot for a cheeky pint and some telly action.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, like having a chat with the landlady over a pint.
  • Pints are super affordable, with great value offers that won't break the bank for a night out.
  • It's got a brilliant community vibe, perfect for watching live sports like football or rugby on the TVs.
  • There's a lovely beer garden for enjoying a drink outside when the weather's nice.
  • Plenty of entertainment with things like a pool table and dart board to keep the fun going.
Cons
  • Some folks have noticed changes after a possible handover, making it feel a bit different from its old quirky self.
  • It might not live up to memories for long-time visitors, as one person was disappointed with the atmosphere.

What a great pub. Landlady Kate was really chatty. I remember the place a couple of years back, but want a change. Loved it will definitely be in for a cheeky pint again soon.

Great little pub. Good pool table. I can't beleive how cheap the pints were. And the bar staff were very nice.

I moved from Manchester 12 months ago I’ve always loved the temple for its lively environment and quirkiness I came home from New Zealand 2 weeks ago and was completely shocked with what I saw. Apparently it’s changed hands but it certainly isnt the same place it once was. I can only assume it’s new manager who served me but I found her to be rude disengaging and not friendly at all
