About This Pub
Ah, the Bridge Inn in Sandiacre – it's one of those local pubs that's been around the block, and from what I've gathered from the chats and reviews, it's got that classic British charm that makes you want to pop in for a catch-up. The food's a real highlight; folks rave about the well-cooked meals and the chance to unwind with a game of pool or darts, especially if you're up for a lively evening with friends. The staff seem like absolute gems, always up for a chat and keeping things running smoothly most of the time. On the flip side, it's a shame about the times when they've run out of ales – nothing worse than craving a fresh pint and ending up with just bottles. Plus, if it gets busy, those queues at the bar can drag on, and there have been a few gripes about smaller portions or the odd mix-up with orders. All in all, it's worth a visit if you're in Nottingham way; just go in with realistic expectations, and you'll likely have a grand old time. I'd say it's a 4 out of 5 kind of place – reliable for a good night, but not without its little niggles.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is spot on – think well-cooked pub classics that hit the spot, especially for a relaxed meal with mates.
-
Friendly staff and hosts make you feel right at home; it's all about that warm welcome and top-notch service with a smile.
-
A cracking atmosphere for a night out, with things like pool and darts to keep the fun going, plus a lovely beer garden for a chilled drink.
-
They've got a good handle on keeping things safe and efficient, like following the rules properly and getting drinks out quickly.
Cons
-
Sometimes they run out of ales, which is a bit of a letdown if you're after a proper pint on tap – it's happened more than once.
-
Queues can get long, especially when it's busy, and it might put you off ordering extras like dessert if the wait drags on.
-
Portion sizes or order mix-ups can be an issue, leaving you feeling a tad short-changed on the food front.
-
It's had its ups and downs over the years, with some recent visits not living up to the hype from the past.

Recent Reviews
I’ve lived within 200m of this pub for 24 years. I’ve seen its highs and lows. Recent years are very much lows! My wife and I called in today for a quiet drink in the garden after walking the dogs. They had no ales! Nothing, zilch!! Only bottled on offer. It’s not the first time either. This pub needs some serious attention. It could be a gold mine.
I hadn't been here for over 20 years until my son invited me over for a night out, a meal, play some pool and darts.
Now I just love going back to enjoy a night of great food, company and too relax with the lads.
Absolutely fabulous night every time, Lee & Louise are great hosts, William the chef who cooks our food delivers every time, all this complimented by the excellent service, by Exza and the other staff members who are always polite and professional making for a friendly, welcoming experience.
They have a variety of activities, pool, darts, karaoke, a great Wednesday pool night where all comers are welcome.
You can listen to music, watch the match, play one of the games machines or if you have skills knock a few bars out on the piano, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a great pub while having a few laughs with the locals.
They are pet friendly which I think is great, seriously well worth a visit, might even see you in there sometime.
Usual pub fare, but well cooked. Was very quiet when we arrived, but it soon filled up. The queue was very long when we'd finished our dinner and that stopped us from ordering dessert.. More bar staff would be useful. All in all a pleasant visit. We'll come again.
Popped in yesterday and had a couple of drinks in the beer garden. All Covid rules followed, quick service aswell. It's under new management, and the landlady and staff were great, service with a smile. 10/10 for the edible straws, I never knew they were a thing. 👌
Ordered meal. Only bought the small portion of chicken wings. Pointed this out but on seeing the minute size of the wings told server not to bring the rest just to refund. Server came back confirming that the larger order had been placed and the rest would be on their way. Again told not wanted, just a refund.
Server returned with wings stating they had now been cooked and couldn't be wasted. No apology or refund. Won't be eating there again
DEFINITELY don't order the wings probably came from a sparrow (tiny)
