About This Pub

Ah, Booking Urban in Stisted – what a spot it is, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the chatter online, it's got this really cosy feel, blending a bit of home comfort with a proper dining experience. The food stands out as a real winner; think massive portions of fresh, flavoursome dishes that hit the spot every time, whether it's a seafood platter or a Sunday roast that everyone's raving about. And the team there? They're just lovely, always ready with a smile and quick to sort out any little thing, making you feel right at home. It's dog-friendly too, which is brilliant if you're out for a walk and fancy a stop-off. On the flip side, I've heard it might be closed up for now, which is a bit of a letdown, and there are those minor gripes like the limited mustard options or the wine list not being clear on prices – nothing major, but it could add up if you're picky. All in all, if you're in the area and it's up and running, it's worth a visit for a relaxed meal or a quick bite; just keep an eye on the latest updates to avoid any disappointment. It's got that charm that makes you want to come back, you know?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious with huge, generous portions that leave you feeling well satisfied – perfect for a hearty meal after a long day.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure everything's just right, which really adds to the welcoming vibe.
  • It's got a lovely atmosphere, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for a full meal, making it ideal for everything from casual lunches to special occasions.
  • Being dog-friendly means you can bring your furry friend along, which is a real bonus for those who like to include their pets in outings.
  • Prices are spot on – reasonable and offer great value, especially with fresh, tasty options like seafood platters or homemade mince pies.
Cons
  • It seems like the place might be closed at the moment, which is a shame as it could put a damper on plans if you're hoping to visit soon.
  • There are a few small niggles, like only having English mustard on offer and the wine list not showing prices, which might leave you wanting a bit more choice.
  • Reviews haven't been updated recently, so it's hard to get a sense of how things are going now, which might mean it's not as buzzing as it once was.
  • As it's more of a serviced accommodation setup, it doesn't quite feel like a traditional pub, so if you're after a classic boozer vibe, it might not hit the mark.

Work Christmas dinner. The portions were huge, delicious and extremely reasonable. Three courses, all our food came out at the same time and there were 30 of us. Staff were friendly and helpful and the mince pies at the end were handmade and the best I've ever had. I'll definitely come back here for food another time!

My parents and I went for an early Sunday lunch yesterday and were very impressed with the delicious food and super friendly staff. The guy that served us (curly dark hair - sorry I didn’t catch his name) was very polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly! First time we have eaten there, we shall be back! Thank you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Wow what a beautiful place, so glad we stopped in for a quick drink. Ended up having a quick bite to eat as the menu and food looked fab, we opted for the seafood platter to share which was fresh and delicious and a very good price of only £22.00. We will definitely be returning. Staff were very friendly and helpful too 10/10 would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Two friends and I did a pre walk around Stisted before stopping at the Onley for a drink. Looking at the menu we decided to stay for lunch. Oh my goodness it was wonderful, we ate slowly, savouring every mouthful, remarking - you must try this! Fantastic flavours and so well cooked. We couldn’t wait to return on the Sunday with our walking group. We were a tad worried about saying how good everything was, just in case it didn’t live up to expectations. We shouldn’t have worried, one said, best roast ever, another, thank you for introducing me to this gem. We will be back even if our Sunday walk is only vaguely near Stisted, we will be there, can’t wait. We met the chef, very good, helpful and answered all our questions. Waiting and bar staff also friendly and efficient. BTW if you like walking, good paths and we saw lots of wildlife including a large herd of deer, which stood and looked at us for ages. So good.

Excellent Sunday Lunch, nice setting and vibe, the roast dinners all received top marks, generous portions and delicious. Good range beers and wine, highly recommended. Only constructive comments would be : No Dijon only English mustard available. Wine List does not illustrate costs for individual glass. Minor issues, did not detract from a most enjoyable visit.
