About This Pub
Ah, Beeropolis – what a lovely spot it is in Burton-on-Trent! From what I've gathered from the reviews and ratings, it's clear this place knows how to do pubs right. Most folks are raving about the fantastic range of craft beers and ales; one chap even called it a 'treasure trove' with options on keg and cask that sound spot on for beer lovers. The staff, especially the hostess Amy, come across as genuinely warm and chatty, making every visit feel like catching up with friends rather than just grabbing a drink. Prices are fair too, so you won't feel short-changed after a round or two. On the flip side, the opening hours can be a bit of a faff – it's only open five days a week with times that vary, which might put a damper on impromptu plans. And without a website, it's not the easiest to get the lowdown beforehand. Overall, though, with a solid 4.6 rating from plenty of happy visitors, I'd say it's worth a trip if you're in the area; just check those hours first to avoid disappointment. It's got that authentic pub charm that makes you want to linger a bit longer, sharing stories over a well-poured pint.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, like chatting with old mates – Amy and the team really make you feel at home.
-
They've got a brilliant selection of craft beers and ales, with some absolute gems on tap that beer enthusiasts will love.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and full of character, packed with brewery history bits like old mirrors and pictures that add a nice touch.
-
Drinks are reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a few without breaking the bank, which is always a win on a night out.
Cons
-
The opening hours seem a bit patchy and inconsistent, which might mean you have to plan your visit carefully or risk finding it shut.
-
There's no website or online presence beyond Google, making it tricky to check what's on offer or get more details before heading over.
-
With only five days a week open and varying times, it might not be the go-to spot for spontaneous evenings or weekday meet-ups.

Great little place for ales, 2nd time that I've been and won't be the last.
Great craft beer micropub, they have a great choice of beers on keg and a couple on cask at a time. The inside is a treasure trove of brewery history with old mirrors, pictures etc. The staff are friendly and clearly love their beers.
