About This Pub
Oh, what a treat Burton Bridge Inn is – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the beers are the real star of the show; they've got this brilliant range of ales, especially since they merged with another brewery, which means there's always something new to try and it keeps the visits fresh and fun. The inside is all cosy and traditional, perfect for settling in with mates on a quiet evening, and the staff sound like absolute gems, making everyone feel right at home. If you're fancying a bite, the burgers get top marks, and the outside area is a lovely spot when the weather's playing ball. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect – a few folks have mentioned the tables being a bit grubby lately, which is a shame and could do with sorting out pronto. Still, with such a solid overall vibe and high praise from most who've been, I'd say it's well worth popping in for a pint; just maybe give the table a quick wipe if needed!

Have been to, and loved this place for years. Since the merge between Burton Bridge and Heritage Brewing, the pub are serving up a wider variety of ales which is always good to see, and makes it more interesting to visit, and more frequently!
Inside, the pub is traditional and cosy. Some more comfortable seating wouldn't go amiss in the front part of the pub but it's fine. The rear part is lovely and plush with an open fire.
A new addition is the beer yard which is very welcome and gets some good sunshine if you time it right.
There is also a skittles alley upstairs which is different and a good value night for a group. It needs some tlc but it is great fun!
Overall this is a must visit for any visiting beer fan - it's on the opposite side of town to the other ale pubs but is well worth the walk.
I go into the Bridge most weeks. The beer is always good, well kept, with a good selection to choose from. Can't fault the beer. The Burgers and outside area were also great over the good Friday weekend....... Now here's the negatives:
On the last 2 visits, the tables were really dirty, so either 'had not been cleaned at all", or "had not been cleaned properly "
There were lots of empty glasses on our table and the unoccupied adjacent table (20 ISH), so no one had tidied up for a while since the previous occupants of that table had left; and no one came over to collect them during our stay either.
There were also 2 young ladies stood at the bar (pub side) scrolling on their mobile phones, taking up approx 75% of the bar frontage, making no effort to be courteous and move over slightly, leaving a small gap at the end for everyone else in the pub to queue up and get served. [I did over hear a couple of other chuntering about this]
Perhaps they were friends of the bar staff? Perhaps there would have been more room to get served at the bar and the tables may have been a bit tidier if these people weren't distracting the bar staff?
I have left 5 stars for the food, and 2 for service and atmosphere. This averages out at 3 stars, which I think is a fair and honest review
Lovely old pub with great beer and friendly staff. 10/10
Try the Masterpiece! Hubby loved it. The ladies behind the bar are fabulous. We did not try the food, so I didn't rate it.
Amazing pub, brewing their own amazing beers a real treat for ale fans
