About This Pub
Ah, Baba Yaga's House – what a gem of a spot in Whitley Bay! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails the whole pub experience with its top-notch cocktails that folks can't stop raving about; imagine sipping on a Black Forest Margarita that's as inventive as it is tasty. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which adds such a welcoming touch to the evening. Plus, it's got this eclectic feel with art exhibitions on display, and don't even get me started on the food – those grazing boards and little dishes like arancini seem to hit the spot every time, and it's even dog-friendly, which is brilliant for us who like to bring the pup along. On the flip side, it does get packed on busier nights, so you might have to queue for a drink, and the website's a bit of a faff with some errors, making it harder to plan ahead. Oh, and with it only being open six days a week, you'll want to check the times to make sure you're not caught out. All in all, it's a fantastic choice for a relaxed catch-up with mates, offering that perfect mix of good vibes and a few quirks that keep things real.

Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially on Saturdays, so you might find yourself waiting a bit for a drink or a seat.

The online presence is a tad limited with some website issues, which could make it tricky to check menus or events before heading over.
-
It's not open every day of the week, so you'll need to plan around the hours to avoid disappointment.

Lovely little bar in Whitley bay that makes the best cocktails! Really nice atmosphere and the bar staff are always welcoming and friendly. Haven't tried the food but it looks good!
Interesting place. I decided to go after seeing how yummy some of their dishes looked on Instagram. It did not disappoint. Had the asparagus, arancini, and bruschetta. Pisco sours were also good. I ddint realise this but they have a cute little courtyard out the back too. Would be a lovely spot for a cocktail in the fresh air.. Black cherry martini is to die for.
Great eclectic bar in the centre of Whitley. It was busy on Saturday but there was never a wait to order a drink, staff were lovely and the cocktails were amazing! Black forest margarita is a must.

Lush new bar in Whitley Bay - also arts showcase, changing exhibitions on display. Lovely grazing type boards which are great value - we're always very greedy but it filled us right up. Staff are genuinely friendly, not pretentious at all. Doggie friendly and always a mixed crowd which is nice to see. Also just along from Laurels if you want to stay out after last orders 😉
