Havana in Whitley Bay

So, I've been having a look at Havana, that bar down on South Parade in Whitley Bay, and it's got a bit of a mixed bag going on. On the bright side, the place has this really inviting atmosphere with nice decorations and a great spot in the area, perfect for a casual night out. The staff come across as friendly, and if you're into 90s tunes, there are moments that sound like a proper laugh, especially with that free entry option if you've been to the nearby Brewery bar – it's those little touches that make it feel welcoming. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing. There have been some nasty incidents, like something happening in the toilets that didn't get sorted out properly, which is a real shame and makes you think twice about going. Plus, the management doesn't seem to be on top of things, with noise complaints and a bit of chaos when they shut up shop at 2am. With an overall rating hovering around average, it's clear some folks have had a brilliant time while others haven't, so if you're heading there, maybe go with a group and keep an eye out – it's worth weighing up if you're up for a late-night adventure, but definitely not without its flaws.
