About This Pub

Ah, the Angel Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper British gem, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, it's got this warm, community spirit where the staff are dead chuffed to see you and remember your usual drink, making every visit feel personal. The beers are top-notch, with a solid range of real ales that hit the spot, and they've got lively events like quizzes and the occasional singer that really liven things up for a fun evening. Plus, the outdoor area is a nice spot to unwind, and the clean facilities show they put in the effort to keep things tidy. On the flip side, it does lean into that old-school charm, which might come across as a bit dated if you're craving something more contemporary – and the layout inside could leave you scratching your head at first. All in all, it's a solid pick for anyone after a genuine, no-fuss pub experience, but it's worth popping in with an open mind to see if it clicks for you.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home, always ready with a smile and a chat.
  • They've got a brilliant selection of beers, especially the real ales, which are spot on for a proper pint.
  • It's got a fantastic atmosphere with fun events like quizzes and live singers, making for some cracking nights out.
  • The toilets are kept spotlessly clean, with nice little touches like hand soap and moisturiser – that's proper thoughtfulness.
  • There's a warm and comfortable outdoor seating area, perfect for a chat and a smoke on a milder evening.
Cons
  • It has that classic old-school pub feel, which might not suit everyone if you're after something a bit more modern and flashy.
  • The operating hours listed seem a tad confusing, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.
  • Navigating the inside can be a bit tricky at times, like when someone had a hard time finding the toilets on their first go.

Great classic old school pub, not many about these days. Good selection of beers, loads of nibbles which is important haha and the toilets were clean. ( when I found them ). :)) They have singers on every now and again and in all a good British pub.

Great beer, fantastic friendly atmosphere, even on derby day. Good screens for football and they tend to put food on for the football too. Best pub (without food on offer) in Dukinfield for me.

I've lived in Tameside all my life but never ever have u been to this pub. Had great night at the quiz. Staff are lovely and friendly and love the extra little touches in the ladies toilet of hand soap and moisturiser and the fact they were spotless 👍☺️

I have to say that this is the best real ale place in Dukinfield. They have a good selection of drinks, friendly and helpful staff – I always like it when they know what I was drinking. They have a great smoking area outside that’s warm and comfortable as well as other outside seating. The interior is clean and well maintained and the toilets are clean, which is unusual for a local pub!
