A Lovely Lebanese Dining Experience at Zufa, Hatch End
My wife and I had a truly lovely evening at Zufa in Hatch End. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and excellent service from
Georges, who looked after us throughout the meal with genuine care and great recommendations.
We started with a variety of mezze that were both flavourful and beautifully presented.
The Moutabbal (Baba Ghannouj) was a highlight – creamy and smoky, made from aubergines blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. It was perfectly smooth and paired wonderfully with fresh bread.
Next came the Spicy Potatoes, which were sautéed to a crispy finish and seasoned with fresh coriander, peppers, and onions. They had just the right balance of heat and flavour.
The Hommos Awarma was another standout. This take on classic hommos was luxuriously smooth, topped with tender cubes of diced lamb. The richness of the tahini and the zing of lemon brought it all together.
We also had the Sojok – pan-fried spicy lamb sausages served in a light tomato and lemon sauce. The spices were bold without being overwhelming, and the meat was juicy and satisfying.
For mains, we shared the Zufa Mixed Grill, which offered a generous selection of grilled meats including lamb cutlets, chicken and lamb shawarma, kafta, and jawaneh (chicken wings). Everything was well-seasoned and grilled to perfection, capturing that signature charred, smoky flavour. We chose vermicelli rice and lamb rice as sides – both were aromatic, fluffy, and complemented the meats beautifully.
To finish, Georges recommended the Knafeh for dessert – a warm dish made with sweet semolina and melted cheese, soaked in syrup. It was rich, comforting, and the perfect end to our meal.
Overall, Zufa delivered a fantastic dining experience with high-quality food, generous portions, and outstanding service. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting – ideal for a date night or a casual evening out. A special thanks to Georges for making our visit extra memorable.
We went on a Saturday evening and had a fantastic time, every single dish we tried was delicious, there was a great range of options for vegetarians and non veg. They also had a belly dancer which was a nice entertainment touch. The drinks were incredible especially the flower tea at the end. We opted for a dessert recommended by the manager and were super impressed- if anything, we will be back for that.
