About This Pub

Oh, The Moon & Sixpence is one of those reliable Wetherspoon haunts that just feels right for a laid-back evening with mates. You can't beat the prices – it's all about that affordable charm, whether you're grabbing a bargain pint or tucking into something from the menu, like that vegan breakfast that's as good as it is cheap. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a bit of banter and making sure everything runs smoothly, and the place itself is spotlessly clean, so you can relax without a care. It's got that nice local feel too, with a beer garden that's ideal for a sunny afternoon. On the downside, it's a shame when they have issues like running out of beer on tap, which might leave you a bit disappointed if that's what you fancy. All in all, it's a solid choice for us lot who love a good pub crawl – worth popping in for the wins, just keep an eye out for the odd slip-up to keep things balanced.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The prices are absolutely brilliant – you can get a hearty meal or a pint for next to nothing, making it a real winner for a budget-friendly night out.
  • The staff are so friendly and welcoming; they really make you feel at home, with that warm smile and helpful attitude.
  • It's kept nice and clean, which is always a relief when you're settling in for a chat and a drink.
  • There's a lovely beer garden out back, perfect for soaking up the sunshine on a clear day.
  • The menu has some decent options, like that affordable vegan breakfast that's a steal at just £2.50 – it's surprisingly tasty too.
Cons
  • Occasionally, they run out of beer on tap, which can put a dampener on things if you're after a specific ale.
  • Service might hit a snag now and then, like stock issues, so it pays to check before you head in for something particular.

A cozy pub in the heart of hatch end. I had gone walk a walk earlier and it was bitter cold so popped in the pub to wet my whistle🤣🤣🤣 unfortunately no beer on tap as they didn’t have any full gas cylinders 😢😢😢😢😢

One of those rare Wetherspoons with a good local feeling. No problem to try an ale, and the ale that i tried was the one that I had: a very good Lancaster IPA for Monday's bargain of £1.99! I didn't eat because I had not long had breakfast in the other spoons Moon pub in Harrow. I preferred this one over the other

We wanted a vegan breakfast - and they do one here. It's £2.50!!! Tell me, what meal can you get served on a plate that costs £2.50??? And you know what, it was pretty good. We sat outside on the lovely garden, enjoying the sunshine. The staff are so nice and friendly, you'd think they are getting paid a lot more than min -wage. I'm not sure if they are. Leave a tip...

Wetherspoons #118 visited. A medium sized branch situated in Hatch End shopping area, a short walk of 200 metres, or so from Hatch End Overground Station. A decent sized beer garden is outside the rear of the pub. This is another branch that does the highly reasonable 'Top Plates, Low Rates' deals - see image attached for deals and pricing. On this occasion I ordered an All Day Brunch and a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruits. Not bad for £6.44! The drink arrived within about a minute of ordering through the app. Food arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Food was piping hot, well cooked and presented. Chips were crunchy, not soggy like you get on some occasions. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area and don't want to break the bank for a decent meal. Note: after a substantial amount of visits I do feel that many of the smaller Spoons pubs do make more of an effort for your custom than many of the larger, more well known branches. The Moon and Sixpence in Hatch End is one of those smaller branches that makes an effort.
