About This Pub
Ah, Ye Olde Swan – it's one of those classic pubs on Burnham High Street that I've heard plenty about from mates, and from what I've seen, it's got a lot going for it with that 4.2 rating. I reckon it's a brilliant place if you're up for a friendly pint and some good food; the reviews rave about the welcoming staff and how it's improved since reopening, making it a comfy spot to kick back. It's especially ace for watching the footie, as one reviewer mentioned being chuffed with the setup on a quiet night. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – there are times when the multiple TVs can make it feel a tad chaotic, and I've read about some unsavoury behaviour from a few outside on weekends, which is a real shame as it puts a damper on the local area. Overall, if you're after a lively catch-up with friends, it's worth a go, but maybe steer clear if you fancy something more tranquil. It's got that balanced charm of a proper British pub, flaws and all, so give it a try and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The pub has a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
They serve up good food and drinks at reasonable prices, which is always a win for a casual night out.
-
It's a top spot for catching the football or other sports, with the telly on and a lively vibe that gets everyone buzzing.
-
Since it reopened, it's become a comfy little haven on Burnham High Street, perfect for a relaxed pint or two.
Cons
-
It can get a bit overwhelming with all those TVs blasting away, especially if you're after a quiet chat rather than a full-on sports bar experience.
-
There are occasional issues with rowdy behaviour from some folks outside, particularly on weekends, which might put you off if you're looking for a peaceful visit.
-
It doesn't quite hold onto that traditional pub charm for everyone, as it's leaned more into being a sports-focused spot, which might not suit those wanting something more low-key.

A nice friendly pub with good food and drinks
I went on a quiet Wednesday so was the only one in their, but the staff member was doing a good job!!! And the football was on so I was happy!!!
Nice pub - but I speak for many in the area, especially the weekend there is a group of people who shout abuse at everyone walking past the pub. Local businesses are having customers not wanting to attend due to poor behaviour of the clientele out front of the pub. It’s a shame. It’s every weekend. Local businesses are becoming fed up of this and are losing custom, either kick out rowdy customers or tell them to behave. Big dog on entrance is also a deterrent. Ye olde Swan is becoming a deterrent for those wanting a relaxing drink or meal in Burnham.
Since Ye Olde Swan reopened recently it's a big improvement to how it was before. Nice comfy pub in the middle of Burnham High Street 🍻👍
This is basically a sports bar nowadays gone are the three bars I remember from the late 70's early 80's when I first to visit pub. Still serves good ale at reasonable price but with eight TV's going on with sound on reach it can get a bit overwhelming, times have changed and I am old fashion when it comes to it
