About This Pub
Oh, what a treat Ye Olde Admiral Rodney is – it's one of those pubs that just wraps you up in its history from the moment you walk in. Picture a 17th-century coaching inn nestled in the heart of Prestbury village, with all those period features like low beams and wooden panels that give it such a genuine, bygone-era charm. The food's a real highlight; folks rave about the eggs benedict and burgers, and it's all proper home-cooked fare that's hearty and satisfying. Plus, with a great lineup of Robinsons cask ales on tap, it's perfect for sinking into a comfy spot with a pint. It's super welcoming too – ideal for families or if you've got a furry friend in tow, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. That said, it's not everyone's cup of tea; it's more about relaxed chats than buzzing nightlife, so if you're after games or a playlist, you might find it a tad subdued. And watch out for parking in the village – it can get a bit tricky. All in all, it's a smashing spot for a laid-back get-together, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that authentic pub experience without the modern frills.

Second visit with family for food and we will come again. Best eggs benedict I have ever had and the Rodney burger is an absolute delight.
The atmosphere is that of a family run pub, with snugs and locals who ate all welcoming and friendly. Thankyou and see you soon
Classic old pub with beers supplied by Robinsons Brewery.
After a long day of rugby, we came for a cheeky pint. Great staff, great atmosphere. Dog friendly which worked well for us. Great little pub
It is a very charming pub, especially on the inside (rather rustic), as I don’t usually take this many photographs — the cheese, and onion pie is also one of the best that I’ve ever had anywhere (and I’ve had many) — you just have to time it for ten minutes after it has been served to you so that you don’t burn your tongue! 😅
It’s probably the most down to earth establishment in the area too. I can’t not come to Prestbury without visiting here
And more as a personal note to myself to look back on. Food is served between 11am—3pm most days (longer at the weekend)
Had lunch here today - nice friendly traditional pub with great period features. The Homemade Chilli was just right! The Publican was welcoming and couldn't do enough for me.
Decor was on point and the ladies bathroom was clean and tastefully decorated.
Peaceful and welcoming atmosphere - food came quickly.
Will visit again and can recommend.
