About This Pub
Ah, the Wynnstay Arms Hotel in Wrexham – it's one of those places that really grows on you, isn't it? From what I've gathered, it's a cracking spot for a casual lunch with the family or catching up over drinks with friends in the evening. The staff are just lovely; they're quick to help and make you feel right at home, which always puts a smile on your face. The menu's packed with all the pub classics done well – juicy burgers, flavourful curries, and solid grills that won't break the bank, plus portions that leave you satisfied. And don't get me started on the beer garden; it's ideal for a sunny afternoon pint or enjoying food delivered straight to your table with their handy order and pay system. Oh, and if you're staying over, the rooms are generally clean and comfy, with everything you need for a good kip. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect – some areas like the stairs or bathrooms look a bit worn and could use a spruce-up, and I've heard a few tales of cleanliness not being up to scratch in places. Plus, if you're someone with mobility issues, there might be a few hurdles with access that could put a dampener on things. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed outing or a quick stopover, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the good bits definitely outweigh the minor gripes, making it worth a visit for any pub enthusiast.

-
The food is spot on; think tasty burgers, curries, and grills that are well-prepared, generously portioned, and great value for money.

-
Free car park and a range of drinks on offer, from real ales to surprises like Italian sparkling wine on draught, make it a proper local gem.
Cons
-
Some parts of the place, like the paintwork and bathrooms, feel a bit dated and could do with a freshen-up to keep things looking tip-top.
-
Cleanliness isn't always perfect; a few spots, such as around the bath taps, might be a tad dusty or overlooked.
-
Accessibility can be a challenge for those with mobility needs, like wheelchair users, with issues around room access and navigating the space.
-
While the overall vibe is welcoming, there might be occasional hiccups with room assignments or responses to enquiries, which can be a bit frustrating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was clean and comfy. The paintwork going up the stairs,in the room is a little tired. We ate in the restaurant, the food was well prepared, very well priced and the portion size was excellent, again the staff were really helpful and polite. We would stay again, the location is perfect for going into the town of Wrexham, plus there is free parking.
Staff were very friendly and helpful; special mention for Sophia who worked in the bar at breakfast, she did a fantastic job when it was very busy.
Rooms were clean at a surface level, but could do with a bit of extra attention; for example area around bath taps was dusty and could’ve done with a thorough clean.
Positive that there are electric charging points, but again the car park could do with a clean up as there was a lot of litter.
Overall the hotel feels like it could do with a little TLC but we had a nice stay.
Stayed at the hotel. Room was nice, all you’d expect for amenities. Comfortable bed, clean towels etc.
The bathroom is dated and could do with a freshen. But it was all functional, getting the shower temp right took a little effort but water pressure was fine once sorted.
Breakfast was good, quick service and plenty of choice.
All the staff were helpful and friendly.
Only called in for a quick pint, but the impression I got from the 15 minutes I was in there was it's a well-kept pub with friendly bar staff, and the pint of Guinness wasn't half bad. It even had a little shamrock on the top.
I sent lots of messages that were never replied to about being disabled in a wheelchair. But when I got there they gave me a room with some stairs to take and later showed me that I could use the service elevator which mentioned I had to go through the kitchen. The room is dirty. We had loads of milk portions but no sugar. The bathroom was very difficult to use i even twisted my uncle trying to get out of the bath it was also moldy black sealant around the bath and hairs on the toilet and in the bath. My husband went to get food from the restaurant and Dan the guy at the bar was busy hugging his friends and ignored my husband when my husband said hi can I order some food he grunted and walked off. My husband asked why so rude? And he grunting again and shrugged his shoulders. He is not a friendly person and doesn't like his job. I paid for my husband to have breakfast but they charged for both of us even though I can't eat at the moment. Some other friends stayed here to and they had no toilet roll in their room. The place is falling apart. But apparently that's OK as they're doing it up in January. They really shouldn't be letting rooms out at all. Also we were in the noisiest room and it rumbled through the wall all night.
