About This Pub

Oh, what a treat Wooden Walls Pub is – it's one of those places that just wraps you up in that classic British pub warmth without any fuss. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the Sunday lunches are an absolute highlight, with folks raving about the tasty roasts and friendly service that really elevates the whole experience. It's got this lovely community vibe, ideal for a casual meet-up or even a baby shower in their open garden, which sounds perfect for enjoying a bit of fresh air. On the flip side, the hours can be a bit hit-and-miss, so you'd want to double-check before heading out, and it's not the easiest to find more info online since there's no website. All in all, if you're in Northampton and fancy a spot that's more about good food, decent drinks, and a homely feel rather than a packed-out scene, I'd say give it a go – it's got that heartwarming touch that makes you want to come back for more.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think piping hot Sunday roasts with fab Yorkshire puds, tasty roasties, and even a cracking chocolate brownie to finish off.
  • Friendly staff and great service that make you feel right at home, with a warm welcome every time.
  • It's got a lovely village community feel, perfect for a relaxed catch-up, plus a nice garden area for soaking up the sunshine or letting the little ones play safely.
  • Good range of drinks at fair prices, and the cosy seated areas make it just the ticket for a proper pub vibe.
Cons
  • The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent or unclear from what's listed, which might catch you out if you're planning a visit.
  • With not much online presence beyond Google, it's tricky to get more details like a website for menus or events.
  • As a smaller spot, it might not have the buzz of a busier pub, so if you're after a lively crowd, it could feel a tad quiet.

Absolutely love this pub, brilliant atmosphere. Such a warm, clean and friendly place. Has such a village community vibe about it. A great, safe outdoor area for the children with also a sheltered outdoor area. A fab selection on drinks and all at a fair price. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and always seem to go above and beyond. We have had some fab days/evenings here. They serve some lovely food too, my favourite has to be the stoned baked pizzas, they are a must try!!
