About This Pub
Ah, the Queen Eleanor – it's one of those reliable spots in Northampton that you can always count on for a straightforward, enjoyable time. The food's a real highlight; think hearty, well-presented dishes that arrive hot and fresh, especially with those cracking deals like getting a big plate for just £10 – it's brilliant value and leaves you feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. The staff are absolute stars too, always polite and on point with service, whether it's refilling drinks or making families feel welcome with fun events like breakfast gatherings. It's got that down-to-earth charm that's ideal for a casual meal or a pint with mates, and the facilities make it easy to pop in and out. But, if I'm honest, the place does show its age a bit with tired furniture and decor that could use a spruce-up to keep things feeling fresh. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for anyone after good, honest pub fare and a warm atmosphere – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy something unpretentious.

Really decent and honest priced grub in friendly down to earth surroundings, hence the reason places like this will always do well come rain or shine. Was a fab surprise to see my friend and I get two big plate specials for £11 on a Saturday evening, piping hot and fresh. Keep up the good work.
Great experience by Leanne, bar service was exceptional! Food was well presented an dead hot. We were politely welcomed by Leanne and drinks refilled when empty in good time. We are staying here whilst working away and what a great stay we have had! Leanne and lloren are brilliant and are a great asset to the pub! We look forward to coming back when working in the area x
Breakfast with Easter Bunny was amazing. Staff are all very friendly and the food was delicious.
Thank you to Easter Bunny and all staff from Sunday! My daughter loved it
Another Sunday lunch at the Elly, same great experience. Unbeatable for value (£11 ea, including a pint). Friendly, smiling staff, prompt service, hot food (plenty of it), great roasted spuds and lovely thick gravy. These guys have it nailed. Thanks!

I am staying at a local hotel and this venue is handy due to location.
The staff are friendly and the food has been very good and arrives promptly even when busy.
It is highly popular with senior customers and has a generally good feel although the furniture and decor are very tired indeed with most seating heavily stained.
