About This Pub

Ah, Woburn Arms – it's one of those unassuming pubs that you stumble upon and end up having a brilliant time. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, welcoming Northern Irish charm, with staff like Chloe who go out of their way to make you feel like a regular, even if you're just passing through on a trip. The drinks are spot on, and there's always the option for a game of pool or darts to liven things up, which is just what you want on a laid-back night out. It's got a solid 4.4 rating, mostly from folks raving about the great craic and the honest, down-to-earth locals. On the flip side, it seems they don't always have food on offer, so if you're hoping for a full meal, you might need to plan ahead or head elsewhere. Plus, without a website, it's a bit of a hidden gem that you might miss if you're not in the area already. All in all, if you're looking for a genuine pub experience with friendly faces and no pretences, I'd say give it a go – it's got that feel-good factor that makes you want to come back for another round.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere with plenty of good craic, cold beers, and traditional pub vibes that make for a proper relaxing night.
  • You can enjoy games like pool or darts, which add a fun touch and keep things lively without any fuss.
  • As a traditional seaside spot, it captures that authentic, welcoming feel of a Northern Irish local, perfect for a casual catch-up.
Cons
  • It doesn't always serve food, which could be a bit of a letdown if you're after a bite to eat with your pint.
  • With no website or online presence, it's tricky to check opening times or what's on offer before you pop in.
  • The reviews suggest it's a quiet gem, but with only a moderate number of ratings, it might not always be buzzing, depending on the day.

Stumbled across this great pub whilst on a trip from Australia to find some ancestral graves. Had the best time, Chloe behind the bar was so lovely. Friendly, good drinks, and the boys were able to have a game of pool as well while we chatted. If you're in the area, I'd say stop in for a drink, you won't regret it.
