About This Pub

Ah, the Wigmore Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Luton, you know? From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with that genuine warmth and a smile from the staff, who really go the extra mile to make sure you're looked after. The food's where it shines brightest; I've heard brilliant things about their breakfasts and those flame-grilled burgers – they're proper tasty and come at prices that won't break the bank, which is always a win for a casual night out. Plus, it's got this lively atmosphere that's spot on for watching the match with your lot or just unwinding with a pint. They're also big on giving back to the community, like fundraising for charities and letting locals use their space for free, which gives it that extra layer of charm. On the flip side, it does get packed, and you might find yourself waiting around for your meal without a heads-up on the time, which can be a bit frustrating if you're in a rush. And while the dishes are full of flavour, some portions could do with being a touch bigger to really satisfy. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed get-together, as long as you're prepared for the odd wait – I'd say it's worth it for the good vibes and great nosh.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready with a warm welcome, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • The food is a real highlight – think tasty breakfasts, flame-grilled burgers, and sizzling skillets that leave you wanting more, all at honest, fair prices.
  • It's got a great atmosphere, perfect for catching up with mates over a drink, watching the footie on the TVs, or enjoying community events.
  • Plenty of parking available, which is a bonus when you're popping in after a long day.
  • They're deeply involved in the local community, supporting charities and offering their function area for free, which adds a nice touch of heart to the place.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy, leading to waits of up to 45 minutes for food without much of an update on how long it'll be.
  • Some dishes, like the Cajun chicken, have portions that feel a bit on the small side, even if the flavours are spot on.
  • The vibe might not suit everyone if you're after a quick bite, as the busyness can make things feel a tad chaotic at times.

This place was very busy. Had to wait for food approx 45 mins. Didn't get any update on how long waiting time was. Parking plenty. But make sure you register your car on their database inside.

Great atmosphere and service. We mainly went for the grilled food and didn't disappoint. Portions could have been bigger for the cajun chicken dish. Both dishes tasted delicious. Will definitely go again.

Always a warm welcome and amazing service from T and Kaylem. They will always tell us what events are coming up. Came for a drink and was convinced to stay for food after seeing all the food flying out the door. We weren’t disappointed! New menu is amazing! The new burger is mouth watering! Can’t say we’ve ever had a bad meal here. Looking forward to trying the rest of the new menu. 100% recommend

Atmosphere amazing with football on sky on few TV's I would definetly go back everyone is chatty in the pub, very welcoming locals.
