Fantastic pub. We visited Liverpool last week and spent a great evening here! From the bar staff, especially Anthony behind the bar, to the locals who drink there, we were made to feel so welcome and part of the local crowd. £11.50 for a pint of Bass and a pint of lager was very steep. Service pretty grim too. There was a shanty sing song in the back room and everyone in there was very pleasant. But the price of beer here is way too much. I won’t be going back to drink there.
Enjoyed a nice pint ( sensibly priced) in this historic little pub in the heart of liverpool recently, I'm guessing it's relatively unchanged since the days when the Beatles would have an after show ( at nearby cavern club) drink and get paid by thier manager at the time.
Lots of photos & a plaque in the back room from that fab 4 era & as white star were obviously linked to shipping and the ill fated 'titanic' plenty of historical pictures on that subject to check out 😃
