About This Pub
Ah, the White Lion Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a breath of fresh air, doesn't it? From the reviews I've seen, it's all about that homely charm and the staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like you're catching up with old mates over a pint. The food really stands out; people are raving about the Sunday dinners and puds, which sound absolutely spot on for a relaxed meal. Plus, there's always something going on to keep things lively, whether it's a game of table skittles or enjoying the bands and music in the background. The beer garden's a bonus on a nice day, and it's clear they've put in the effort to spruce the place up lately. On the downside, a couple of folks found the games a tad disruptive if they're not your cup of tea, and it's a bit of a shame there's no website to get the lowdown beforehand. All in all, it's a cracking spot for a casual get-together, but it might not suit if you're after a quieter or more polished experience – still, I'd say it's worth a visit for the good vibes and solid grub.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
They serve up delicious food, like those hearty Sunday dinners and puddings that leave you wanting more.
-
It's got a lively atmosphere with fun activities such as table skittles and great live music or bands.
-
The beer garden is a lovely spot for enjoying a drink when the sun's out, and there's even a marquee for shelter on dodgy weather days.
-
The pub has been freshened up recently, with a nice coat of paint inside that gives it a cosy, inviting vibe.
Cons
-
One or two visitors mentioned that games like skittles can get a bit annoying if you're not in the mood, though it's all part of the fun.
-
There's no website listed, which makes it tricky to check out menus, events, or opening times online before heading over.
-
Not every review is glowing – a few folks gave it three stars, suggesting it's not perfect for everyone, perhaps if you're after something more upscale.

Very nice, homely feeling and friendly staff.
Proper British pub. Very friendly and welcoming. Had table skittles, nice to watch some locals having a game as we drank.
Lovely pub with great service, came today for a Sunday dinner followed by a pudding both were delicious! Will be back soon for more 😁
Friendly pub with a vibrant atmosphere. They had a skittles game which my mate said was the most annoyingist, but he's drunk and so am I. I will deffo return and recommend. Pizza is also available.
The pub has recently changed hands and has improved in every way. The inside has been freshened up with a coat of paint. There's a marquee in the courtyard for shelter from the best of British summer weather, and a large beer garden when the sun does shine. They still have the same great bands/musicians playing frequently that provide fantastic entertainment on some evenings and weekends. Finally, the quality of the beer has greatly improved!
