About This Pub
You know, when you step into the Waggon & Horses, it's like walking into a friendly neighbourhood spot that's been a staple for years – rebuilt back in 1981, but still buzzing with that timeless community feel. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems, always ready with a smile and a chat, which really sets the tone for a great visit. They've nailed the beer side of things with their range of Joseph Holt's ales and a few craft options, and those special deals like Fizz Friday make it easy on the wallet for a cheeky night out. The entertainment lineup is spot on too – think live music, quizzes, and catching the footie on Sky or BT Sport – it's just the ticket if you're after a bit of excitement without leaving the pub. Plus, being dog-friendly with a beer garden means it's brilliant for a sunny afternoon session. On the flip side, though, it's very much a Holt's-focused place, so if you're not keen on their brews or fancy more variety, you might end up sticking to the same old choices. Still, it's affordable and welcoming, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable local haunt rather than something flashy. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – you'll likely leave with a smile and maybe even a new favourite spot.

Great Holt's pub, went last week first time in +thirty years.
Warm, clean, lovely pub. Really friendly locals and staff that make you feel like a regular on your first visit. Wish they had a wider selection of beer other than just Holts, but it's a Holts establishment so fair enough. Will definitely be back. Recommended.
