About This Pub
You know, when I think about Ashley Brook, it just feels like that reliable local spot where you can settle in for a good chat and a decent drink without breaking the bank. The beers are spot on – think well-priced cask ales and lagers, plus those tempting special offers like fizz Friday or deals on shots and ciders that add a bit of excitement to the evening. It's got this warm, community-led feel, with regulars making you feel welcome straight away, and there's always something on, like pool, darts, or catching the latest sports action on the big screens. They're even thoughtful with things like disabled access and live entertainment, which really makes it accessible for all sorts. On the other hand, it can get a tad boisterous with the DJ spinning tunes on weekends or during big games, so if you're in the mood for a peaceful night, you might find it a bit too lively. Also, while the drinks are the star here, the food side seems pretty basic, so it's not the place for a hearty meal. All in all, if you're a sports enthusiast or just after an honest, no-fuss pub experience in Salford, I'd say give it a go – it's got that genuine charm that keeps you coming back, but it's best suited to those who enjoy the hustle and bustle of a traditional boozer.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is fantastic and well-priced, with a great range of cask ales and special offers that make it easy on the wallet.
-
It's got a really welcoming, community vibe where you can chat with locals, play a game of pool or darts, and feel right at home.
-
Sports fans will love the big screens showing live matches from Sky Sports and BT, plus they organise transport for rugby games – perfect for a match day buzz.
-
The pub is clean and tidy, with a spacious layout including a central bar and separate areas, making it comfortable for a casual visit.
-
Opening hours are straightforward and consistent, so it's easy to pop in for a drink after work or on the weekend.
Cons
-
It might feel a bit noisy and lively on weekends with the DJ and events, so if you're after a quiet catch-up, it could get overwhelming.
-
The focus is heavily on drinks and sports, so if you're hoping for a wide variety of food options, it might come up a bit short.
-
Being in Salford, it's not the most central spot for everyone, which could mean a bit of a trek if you're not local.

Dropped by for a quick drink after helping friends nearby. Lovely atmosphere with big screen TV showing sport, very clean and tidy with reasonably priced pints as well.
Good pint of Smooth and good catch up with old mates in a friendly pub 🍻
Great pub in the heart of Salford, very tipical British pub. Ive been living 10years in the area and visited for the 1st time. Great welcome from the girl at the bar and the regulars. There is a seperate area with a pool table perfect for a few games other than just drinks. Definitely will visit again.
An exceptionally welcoming and hospitable establishment. Our haven when we were trying to figure out accommodation plans.
Bartender Robert, Landlord Mark and a bevy of regulars made us feel like true Salford locals. Would highly recommend to anyone. Excellent venue to watch footy and have some great pints!
Live football match with great drinks.
