About This Pub
Ah, the Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Salford, you know? I have to say, stepping inside, you're greeted with this cosy, u-shaped bar and a lounge that's perfect for settling in with mates for a chat. The beers are an absolute highlight; they're so well-kept and reasonably priced, with options like their award-winning ales that go down a treat. And if you're up for some fun, there's live music on weekends, bingo and quizzes during the week, plus a beer garden for those sunny afternoons – it's all about that community spirit. On the upside, when the food's good, it's really good, like those tasty fish and chips that folks rave about. But let's be honest, it's not all roses; I've heard a few stories about dodgy food experiences, especially with deliveries where portions fall short or quality isn't up to scratch, so you might want to play it safe and stick to the drinks if you're popping by for a bite. Overall, with a solid rating like this, it's a place I'd recommend for a relaxed pint and a laugh, as long as you keep expectations balanced – after all, every pub has its off days!

Lovely traditional pub warm and friendly welcome and the stout is always spot on.
Ordered a delivery on Uber and deliveroo a couple of times . Really disappointed . I ordered the large carvery . Supposed to get extra meat !
You do not get the extra meat . I got one piece of pork and one piece of beef that went in the bin because it was fat . So why am I paying for extra meat ?
No-one looks at the comment box when you say you don't want certain things .
If I was eating in , I would not accept that on my plate . Seems like you just throw all bits in a takeaway box .
I know the portions are different because I've also eaten in a lot of times .
