About This Pub

Ah, Vogue Bar in Rutherglen – it's one of those pubs that really knows how to get the crowd going, especially if you're into your football. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this infectious energy, particularly during big Celtic matches, with loads of screens to watch the game and a welcoming bunch behind the bar who make you feel like part of the gang. The live music on weekends is a nice bonus, turning it into a proper spot for a singalong or just chilling with friends over reasonably priced pints. It's open most days from around 10 AM, which is handy for a relaxed afternoon or an evening out. On the flip side, though, there was that one review mentioning some unsavoury behaviour from the crowd, which is a shame and might put some folks off if they're after a more relaxed setting. Overall, it's got a solid 4.4 rating from folks who've been there, so it's mostly thumbs up, but I'd say it's best suited for those who don't mind a bit of hustle and bustle – just go in with your eyes open and you'll likely have a great time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing, especially if you're a Celtic fan – it's a proper go-to spot for big games with plenty of telly screens to catch all the action.
  • Friendly bar staff who make you feel right at home, always up for a chat and quick with your drinks.
  • Live music on the weekends adds a real lively touch, making it a fun place to unwind with mates.
  • Drinks are well-priced, so you won't break the bank for a good night out.
  • It's conveniently located on the main street in Rutherglen, Glasgow, making it easy to pop in after a wander.
Cons
  • There have been reports of a rowdy crowd at times, which could spoil the experience if you're not up for that kind of vibe.
  • With no website or online presence, it's a bit tricky to check out the latest details before heading over.
  • The reviews show a mostly positive picture, but that one negative experience from years back about unfriendly behaviour is a bit off-putting and worth keeping in mind.

Excellent bar, situated on the main street. Great atmosphere, live music at the weekends, friendly staff and very well priced. Also has plenty of TV screens, for watching the football.

Walkin past today with my 2 year old son and was terrified by the patrons of this place who thought it was ok to hurl abuse at my TODDLER all because he was on a blue trike! If this is the type of person they serve at the bar it speaks volumes about the establishment.
