About This Pub
So, let me tell you about the Victoria Inn—it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local spot, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews and the website, the staff are absolute stars, always ready with a smile and a chat, which really sets the tone for a welcoming evening. They've spruced the place up nicely; it's clean as a whistle and has this lovely beer garden where you can kick back with a drink, even if the British weather decides to throw a curveball—those heaters are a lifesaver. Prices are spot on for a casual night out, and there are events and offers that add a bit of excitement. On the flip side, there was that one recent review that gave it a low mark, which is a pity because it makes you wonder if there's the odd off day, but overall, most people are singing its praises for the friendly crowd and great management. If you're after a solid pub experience without the fuss, I'd say give it a go—it's got that homely charm that makes you want to come back for another round.

Cons

That recent review was a bit of a downer, even if it sounded positive overall, suggesting things might not always be spot on lately.

A real pub, good service and friendly customers.
Having been a regular for some time now I have seen a great difference since the new landlords have taken over. Fantastic atmosphere with a friendly welcome couldn't ask for more from a local boozer
Well what a turn around in atmosphere, this pub used to be classed as the "Old Man's " pub but since Nigel, Ryan and family have taken over its great, clean, friwndly and inviting. we can have a laugh and a joke without being told off. I look forward to going out again now at weekends. The customer service is second to none 👍Well done to all concerned definitely the best pub in the area now 🤗
The Victoria Inn is an outstanding pub that welcomes everyone from the local customer to the total stranger.
The Landlady, Penny and husband Dave have turned this pub around in a short period of time and is now a local hub for everyone to enjoy themselves.
The pub is always clean and tidy and they ensure high standards are continuously maintained.
Every time I visit the Victoria I have a great experience either it be for a quiet drink mid week or at the weekend. Their level of hospitality never wavers.
Recently being awarded, Marstons Pub of the year is a well earned accolade for all their hard word and dedication.
New to the area popped in for a pint and everyone including landlady and staff very welcoming, lovely and clean pub. Well managed staff and made us feel very well with being newbies to the area! Fantastic place and good prices! 👍
