About This Pub
Ah, The Hanbury Arms – it's one of those unassuming locals that just feels like a proper community hub, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the beer is always spot on, superbly kept and just what you want on a quiet evening. The landlord comes across as a real character, making everyone feel at home with that warm welcome, and it's brilliant that they've got a family-friendly angle, so you can pop in with the kids or mates without any fuss. That pool table sounds like a fun addition too, perfect for a game or two. On the other hand, it's a shame about the food situation; they don't seem to have much on offer regularly, which lets it down a bit, especially if you're there for something like pool nights. And honestly, shelling out £2.50 for a plastic bottle of coke feels a tad over the top, even if the place is generally inexpensive. Parking's another niggle – with the car park locked up, you're left hunting for spots on the road, which isn't the best for planning a proper night out. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back pint and a chat, but it could do with a few tweaks to really shine.
Pros and Cons

The beer is superbly kept, making it a real treat for anyone who appreciates a good pint.
-
It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a friendly landlord who's always up for a chat.
-
When they do serve food, like their excellent curry, it's spot on and adds a nice touch.
-
It's a family-friendly spot, perfect for a relaxed get-together with loved ones.
-
The pub is a nice size with a great pool table, ideal for a bit of fun after your drink.
Cons
-
Food options are quite limited, especially for things like pool teams, which feels like a missed opportunity.
-
It doesn't seem like there's much effort put in to make the place stand out or feel more vibrant.
-
Prices can be a bit steep, like £2.50 for a plastic bottle of coke – that's a surprise in an inexpensive spot.
-
Parking is restricted with the car park locked, so you're stuck with street options, which isn't ideal for a night out.

Cliff is a great landlord. I put 5 stars for food because when he does a curry it is excellent. Always keeps a very good pint of beer. A very friendly place to be.
The Hanbury Arms is probably an undiscovered gem the people and landlord are without doubt the most welcoming people I have ever met, you would be hard pushed to find a place that is a family friendly local,
It is a nice pub with ample room , the lights in there are better for romance couples than playing darts. The car park is locked up so parking is restricted to outside on the roads a bad option I think but may have reasons why this is other the man that ideal for a night out .
