About This Pub

Ah, TwentyTwo – it's one of those places in Worcester that really gets the mix right for cocktail enthusiasts and food lovers alike. I've got to say, the drinks are a proper treat; they're not just your average pours, but thoughtfully made with fresh ingredients that make every sip feel special. Pair that with some mouth-watering street food like those Korean burgers and spicy wings, and you're in for a belter of an evening. The indoor and outdoor areas have this eclectic charm that makes it perfect for a laid-back gathering with friends or even a quiet night out. And when the staff are on form, they're absolute gems, bending over backwards to make sure you're looked after. But, and it's a big but, it's not all smooth sailing – I've heard tales of service that can be a right faff, with orders getting muddled or waits dragging on, especially when the place is quiet. That can turn what should be a buzzing night into something a bit underwhelming, and there are stories of overcharging or owners not following through on fixes, which is a shame because it takes the shine off. Overall, if you're up for giving it a go, I'd say pop in for the drinks and grub, but keep your expectations in check on the service front – it's got heaps of potential, and with a bit of luck, you'll have a memorable time without any hitches.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cocktails are absolutely spot on – they're expertly crafted with real flair, perfect for anyone after a creative twist on the classics.
  • The food is a real highlight, with tasty options like Korean burgers and wings that pack a punch and leave you wanting more.
  • It's got a warm and eclectic vibe, with inviting indoor and outdoor spaces that make it ideal for catching up with mates or a cosy date night.
  • Some of the staff are brilliant, going the extra mile to ensure you have a great time, like that top-notch service from folks like Leah.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit unreliable at times, with stories of long waits, mix-ups in orders, and even issues getting things sorted afterwards.
  • The atmosphere might fall flat on quieter evenings, feeling a tad dark and empty, which could put a dampener on what should be a lively spot.
  • There have been a few grumbles about overcharging or problems with refunds, which makes you wonder if everything's running as smoothly as it could.
  • It seems the owners don't always step up when things go wrong, leaving some feeling a bit let down after what looked promising from the outside.

Shocking experience from the owner Adam. This looks to be a trend from other reviews, poor food service, somehow managing to get the order wrong despite nobody else eating, and the place being empty, following an unduly long wait, complaint made and refund issued...or so I thought. Had to follow up 2 weeks later. The owner initially seemed interested in helping before he ignored me after 4/5 repeated requests for an update regarding a refund that was never processed correctly. Manager Aiden and staff member Jude were as helpful as they could be but reiterated their disappointment with the lack of interest from the owner Adam. My contact was nothing but polite, and my dealings with staff were all polite and pleasant, but my dealings with the owner have been frustrating. My advice is if you require a refund, contact your bank/credit card provider for a charge back, you'll be refunded immediately, and save yourself the stress.

The owners simply don't care. Like other reviews, I had adverts on social media and thought it looked brilliant and a cool social scene. The reality has been a headache that's dragged on for a month. We went on a Friday night at 7.30pm and there was one other table in use on a Friday night at 7.30pm. The food took 40 minutes to arrive, we ordered two burgers and one side of fries. Sadly we ended up with two fries and one burger, but realising the error the waiter said to keep the food. I ate a couple of mouthfuls before the waiter came back and explained the chef was happy to do the burger (that I'd ordered and paid for) but in exchange for the incorrectly delivered fries I'd started eating... Given the wait time of the initial order and reading the warning signs, I asked for a refund, the food (pictured) is how we left it at the restaurant. I waited another while before going up to the bar to enquire about the refund. Aiden struggled to issue the refund using a handheld device but eventually said it had gone through and would go back on the card as we'd ordered on the app. Over a week came and went with no refund credited, so we contacted the restaurant using the WhatsApp number on the web site - the only form of communication I could find to speak to anyone. It turns out this is the owner/manager, who has replied asking for details of the transaction/incident, which was promptly provided and some 2-3 weeks later still hasn't replied. We re-attended the restaurant, this time the waiter was the only member of staff on site who said this was a regular occurrence and that the manager was abroad. He said the owners don't seem to care and they're being put in difficult positions with customers such as this. He contacted the manager for us whilst we were there, and when asked how he would rectify an issue such as this if it were to happen again, he just shrugged. I think as long as nothing goes wrong, which apparently 4.7 times in 5 it doesn't seem to, then you're fine and the food looks good. Other wise, it's a soulless, uncared for joint with slow food service and strange customer service. Appearances are deceiving and I feel for some of the staff having no way of providing a good service, especially when the chef asks for food back that's been partially eaten! *update* This is not in relation to any other review left. The request for a refund was because of the order being wrong and the chef requesting partially eaten food back. Not because it took 40 minutes, despite the place being nearly empty as stated in my initial review. We've requested a refund with the owner of TwentyTwo several times over several weeks and havebeen ignored for a month now and still haven't received a refund. We've had to do a charge back through our credit card provider. If you wish to resolve simple issues like this then please put a contact number on your site for someone actually helps.

The food in twenty two is a very welcome addition, the korean burger had a nice crispiness to it and the secret korean sauce was divine with a hint of spice. I also tried the buffalo fries and korean wings both went down a treat and were surprisingly filling. If youre looking for a good place to start drinking i highly recommend as a meal is likely to get you a free drink as every £15 spent = a free drink. 10/10 would eat again

Wow! What can I say, as someone that has frequented many bars in 49 countries I can honestly say that the service I received from Leah today has been absolutely top drawer. Cocktails were amazing(espresso martini 👌), she couldn’t do enough for us and she made sure I had a great evening. Keep doing what you’re doing. Best bar in Worcester by far!! 👌

Went in around 9pm on a Friday. Awful atmosphere, almost like a derelict haunted house. Freezing cold, dark and quiet music. The service was slow and I was charged £38 for two drinks and two shots, (which we believed would be free as we had a free shot card from a lady outside) I had specifically asked if it was any shot for free and she said yes. however she poured our small drinks, two requested shots and then free shots that we didn’t even know what was in it! Outrageous prices, for how much liquid you get, I think the shots were over £5 each!
