About This Pub

Ah, the Old Greyhound – it's one of those classic pubs in Worcester that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? I've had some cracking times there with mates, enjoying the cheap beer and those fair prices that don't break the bank. The staff are spot on, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. Plus, with live music and bands popping up, it's a brilliant place for a lively evening or even a relaxed catch-up outside if the sun's out. The decor's cosy and the seating's comfortable, and it's in such a handy spot for wandering around town or linking up with other bars. But, fair's fair, I have to mention that one review about the barman being a bit dodgy with a bottle – it sounds grim and could make you think twice about the hygiene. Overall, though, with a solid 4.2 rating, it's mostly a winner for a good night out, as long as you go in with realistic expectations for a traditional boozer.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are always friendly and well-mannered, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • You've got great value for your money with cheap beer and fair prices on drinks and food – perfect for a casual night out.
  • It's a lively spot with good music and even some bands playing, which adds to the fun atmosphere.
  • The interior is nicely decorated with comfortable seating, and there's a lovely outdoor area for when the weather's on your side.
  • Being in a good location in Worcester, it's an ideal stop on a bar crawl or for a quick pint after work.
Cons
  • There was that unfortunate incident with the barman handling a bottle in a rather unhygienic way, which might put some folks off.
  • It comes across as a bit of an old-school boozer, so if you're after something more modern or fancy, it might not hit the mark.
  • From what I've seen, it's generally reliable, but that one bad experience shows things aren't always spot on.

Nice local, very lively and the drinks there are good value. Food is also good value, interior decor is nice and seating is comfortable. Has a nice outdoor seating area as well. The location is good as well and its a good pub to include on a bar crawl. Service is friendly and welcoming.
