About This Pub

Oh, The Pheasant in Worcester is just the sort of place you'd want to tell your mates about – it's got this cosy, traditional feel that makes you feel welcome from the get-go, with staff who are genuinely warm and chatty, always ready with a smile and a good recommendation on the beers. I love how they've got a fantastic range of drinks, from classic ales to more interesting options like Beavertown on tap, and the food doesn't disappoint either; think excellent value burgers and tacos that hit the spot without breaking the bank. The live open mic nights and sports screenings on the big TVs add a real buzz, especially on Sundays, and its central spot with nearby parking makes it dead easy to nip in after a day out. That said, it's not all perfect – some portions are a bit on the large side, so you might end up with more than you can handle, and without a website, it's a faff to get the lowdown online. Still, with such high praise from folks who've been there, it's a solid choice for anyone after a proper pub experience in Worcester, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.

Pros and Cons

  • It's got that warm, welcoming traditional vibe that's hard to beat, especially with live events like open mic nights and sports on the telly.

Lovely little traditional style pub with a refreshing atmosphere. The open mic night every Sunday is fantastic with lots of great acts! They also show sports on multiple large TVs. Good selection of drinks and right in the centre of town with parking nearby.

Taco Tuesday was great. Portion sizes for the price are really great, I'd have preferred a smaller option so not to waste food but the flavours and taste were amazing.

The internal decor has improved a lot since I last came here a few years ago and looks great, decent variety of food options on the menu, we had a buffalo chicken burger which was excellent value for money, and a good portion of fries on the side. They had Beavertown on tap too when we visited. Friendly and attentive staff who are still operating table service for the foreseeable future.
