About This Pub
Ah, The Swan in Worcester – it's one of those timeless spots tucked away on New Street that feels like a proper local hideaway. I've got to say, the drinks selection is spot on, with hand-picked real ales and craft beers that make it a go-to for anyone who appreciates a good brew. The live music on weekends really livens things up, and it's brilliant for a game of pool or just chilling with mates. Oh, and if you're a burger fan, their grill serves up some tasty ones that are generous and full of flavour – plus, it's dog-friendly, which is just lovely for those who want to bring their furry companions along. But let's be honest, it's not all roses; there have been a few grumbles about drinks not tasting quite right or service being a bit hit-and-miss, like waiting ages or dealing with staff who aren't on top form. The music can sometimes be a tad overwhelming if you're after a quiet catch-up, and the place might feel a bit quiet or in need of a tidy in the toilets. Still, for a balanced night out, it's worth checking out – just keep your expectations realistic and you'll likely have a cracking time!

Disgracefull. Ordered a pint of IPA, it had a very acrid and off taste. I questioned this at the bar and was told by the guy who served me that he was unable to confirm if it was Off as he could not taste it ??, he then went on to say it was a new barrel but as there were no bits evident in my pint he considered it to be fine and told me that he had served what I had asked for and was not prepared to pursue the matter. What a disgrace, would never visit this pub again.
Took forever to get served, despite being the only one waiting, because the barmaid was too busy scoring the guys at the bar out of 10, no I'm not kidding. Then go to the bar again at 10:40pm to be told "no more", no last orders called, haven't even closed yet but not even time to get one more half in because she 'hasn't clean yet'.
Been past recently and they'd closed early so not surprised at tonight. Next time I won't even bother and will walk a bit further to the Eagle or heroes, absolute waste of my time and money. Shame because it's a nice spot
Let’s talk about the food first; The Swan hosts Smokin Brads on the grill where Brad(I assume) fires out Worcester’s best burgers at will. Our whole gang went with various burgers from the wide selection and everyone left with a big smile. I had the bacon cheese and loved every juicy bit of it closely followed by the crispy fries. Amazing! Try the chicken wings if you dare very tasty, but damn hot!
The bar takes it further, with cocktails for every taste and a selection of gins that included a few I’d not tried, which is normally unheard of.
Trust me bruv, The Swan and Smokin Brads is well worth a visit!
Tasty burgers and friendly service. Social distancing was well managed by the staff. If coming for the food, then it's because you like tasty beef in your burger / brisket roll. Burgers are generous but not huge. (I wish I'd ordered the chips on the side.) Guessing it's a rock pub so probably a different atmosphere in the evening in non covid times. More of an adult venue. Definitely no suggestions that 'sport' might be shown.
Terrible experience, board outside says happy hour every day, only to find that it's 50p off beer, everything else is normal, toilets needed a good clean, music also to loud,no wonder the place was empty. I'll definitely be bypassing the hole when I'm next in Worcester as there àre many other nicer and less expensive places to drink in the city.
