About This Pub

Ah, Turtle Bay in Solihull, what a spot it's turned out to be! I've got to say, diving into their Caribbean-inspired menu feels like a mini escape to the islands, with dishes that's full of soul and flavour that had me and my niece grinning from ear to ear during brunch. The staff really shine through, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort you out, making it easy to settle in for a good chat over those 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour. It's got that warm, relaxed atmosphere with reggae tunes in the background, and the deals like late-night eats make it ideal for everything from a casual afternoon session to a proper evening do. On the flip side, if you're not up for spicy vibes, it might not be the best for kids or those with a sensitive palate, and that vegan ice cream could be a bit of a letdown if you're expecting something more traditional. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun outing – I'd pop in again in a heartbeat, but maybe skip the ice cream next time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is an absolute delight, packed with rich Caribbean flavours that make every bite feel like a holiday – think incredible jerk dishes and tasty cocktails that hit the spot.
  • Service is spot on; the staff are super friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make your visit memorable, just like in those glowing reviews about waiters like Keaton and Ellie.
  • The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with reggae beats, happy hour deals like 2 for 1 cocktails, and a bottomless brunch that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates.
  • It's conveniently located in the heart of Solihull, near the station and shops, with handy facilities like outdoor space, wheelchair access, and free WiFi to make popping in a breeze.
Cons
  • Some dishes can be a bit too spicy for those with milder tastes, especially if you're bringing the little ones along, as one visitor mentioned their kid wasn't keen.
  • The vegan ice cream might not be everyone's cup of tea texture-wise, which could disappoint if you're after that classic creamy feel.
  • Opening hours vary a tad and might not suit early birds or late-night folks perfectly, with the typical close around 10pm or so on quieter days.

★★★★★ Amazing Brunch & Exceptional Service! My niece and I visited Turtle Bay in Solihull for a long-overdue catch-up over brunch, and we had the most wonderful experience! Our waiter, **Keaton**, was absolutely brilliant—he was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. His excellent service really added to our lovely meal. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thank you, Keaton and the team, for making our visit so special. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was good and the waitresses were attentive. But kid does not like the spicy food. Besides, kid found the texture of the vanilla ice cream strange. I didn't taste it myself. I guess it's because the ice cream was vegan.
