About This Pub

Ah, let me share a bit about the Trafalgar Tavern – it's this lovely spot down by the Thames in Greenwich that always feels like a step back into Britain's seafaring glory. I really appreciate how the place is decked out with all sorts of naval history on the walls, creating that authentic, warm atmosphere that's perfect for a casual catch-up or a family gathering. The views over the river are just breathtaking, especially when you're sipping on one of their cracking cocktails or a pint from their extensive beer selection – they've got something for everyone, whether you're a gin aficionado or just after a simple ale. The food doesn't disappoint either; think hearty classics like fish and chips or a proper Sunday roast that leave you feeling satisfied and cheerful. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and spot-on suggestions, making you feel right at home. On the flip side, it's no secret that it gets packed to the gills at times, which can make finding a seat a bit of a faff, and a couple of folks have mentioned that some dishes could do with a touch more flair or portion size. All in all, it's a brilliant choice for a memorable outing, but I'd say it's best to pop in early or book ahead to avoid the crowds and make the most of what this gem has to offer.

Gary made our experience at Trafalgar Tavern awesome! His service was 5 stars!!!! Great recommendations on the food and wine, and he even sang a song for my step dad Father day (even though it’s not until Sunday!) Amazing service, amazing atmosphere and he really made our day! My parents loved it! Thanks again Gary!!!!

Dropped in here for a bite to eat at lunch time having arrived on a Thames river trip. This is a very good pub for food. The interior is vibrant and nautically themed in keeping with its position alongside the Thames and all of its history. Used to come here many moons ago and so pleased to see it’s still here and in good shape. Thoroughly enjoyed the vibe, great views along the Thames. The service was quick and excellent. Had the cod and chips while my friend had a plant based burger, both fresh, nicely cooked and tasty. If you’re looking for an historic pub, this is a must and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere and vibe, the place is decorated really nicely. Love all the pictures everywhere. It was really busy but we got a seat with help from the staff and they said drinks really quickly. You got the charcuterie it could have been a bit better. Could have been some more stuff on there. But overall it was good. Dog friendly too, which is always a bonus

Lovely, historic pub (which is nice, not a chain like the Greene King, Fullers, etc), in a beautiful setting. Such a charming inside area and a wonderful outdoor area on the Thames. The weather was gorgeous and we couldn’t have wanted a better setting. Our food was excellent, especially the cheese and onion tart! Definitely book a table ahead of time, it gets quite busy!!

Beautiful pub by the riverside..it was already packed at 6.30pm..luckily we were placed at a table and had a good meal.. ordered the white bait and chowder which tasted really good and some cocktails.. ended it with a brownie-& ice cream sprinkled with oats. Different combo but good one.
