About This Pub
Ah, Three Bulls Heads in Newcastle – what a cracking little spot it is, isn't it? From the moment you step in, it's clear this place is all about making you feel welcome, with staff who are genuinely warm and on point, like they're old pals serving up your favourite pint. The food's a real winner too; think hearty Sunday roasts, solid breakfasts, and pub classics that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. And if you're into sports, you're in for a treat – screens everywhere blasting live footy, rugby, and more, making it the perfect pre-match hangout near St James’ Park. It's got that affordable, everyday appeal that's great for students or anyone popping in after work. On the flip side, though, it can get a bit overwhelming with the constant buzz of music and telly screens; if you're after a peaceful corner for a deep chat, it might not be the best fit. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a good time – honest, reliable, and just what you need for a casual get-together without any fuss.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond, making you feel right at home, like chatting with mates behind the bar.
-
Fantastic spot for sports lovers, with loads of screens showing everything from Premier League footy to rugby and Formula 1, so you won't miss a moment of the action.
-
Great value for money with inexpensive prices, delicious pub grub like Sunday roasts and breakfasts that hit the spot, and it's open early till late for a proper day out.
-
Convenient location in Newcastle's Haymarket area, near the bus station and St James’ Park, ideal for a quick pint before or after a match or just a relaxed catch-up.
Cons
-
It can get a bit noisy with TVs everywhere and loud music playing, which might make it tricky for a quiet chat if you're after a more chilled vibe.
-
Feels a tad like a standard chain pub in places, similar to a Wetherspoon's, so it might not stand out as uniquely special for those seeking something more cosy or distinctive.

Where do I start… the service? The pints? The sport everywhere you look? I’ll be honest, it doesn’t get much better than Callie serving behind the bar. Wow, that girl goes above and beyond. What a lass. Kudos to you x
Called in for breakfast this morning service was very quick staff were very friendly . The breakfast was amazing and the pub looked really nice would definitely recommend
We are regulars at The Three Bulls Head. We were served by Chloe and April this time, the service could not have been better very attentive and pleasant, the food was lovely and upstairs is a lovely place to eat. Thank you so much.
We vistlited today for bottomless brunch. Our waitress was Hannah...absolute 10 out of 10 service. Quick service, food was delicious, drink really good. Excellent value for money and Hamnah provided excellent service. Would recommend
OK large Newcastle pub near Haymarket bus station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including, unusually these days, Draught Bass. Bars on the ground and first floors with TV screens everywhere and loud contemporary music over the speakers. Similar to a Wetherspoon's.
