About This Pub

Ah, The Yard – what a gem in Coventry! I've been looking into this place, and it's clear why it's racking up such rave reviews. From what folks are saying, the staff are just lovely, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for a full meal. The food sounds absolutely delicious too; imagine tucking into a cracking Sunday roast or a fresh breakfast, with plenty of choices for different diets – it's all about making sure everyone's catered for. And as an LGBTQ+ venue, it's got this heartwarming commitment to being a safe space, which is so important these days. The atmosphere is spot on, with a warm, inclusive feel that's ideal for catching up with mates or celebrating something special. On the flip side, the hours can be a bit confusing at times, so you'd want to plan ahead to avoid missing out. It does get buzzing, which is great for energy but maybe not if you're after a quiet corner. Prices are moderate, so it's worth it for the experience, but it might not be your go-to for a cheap night. All in all, if you're in Coventry and fancy a place that's welcoming, fun, and full of good vibes, give The Yard a try – you won't be disappointed!

Cons
  • The operating hours can seem a bit inconsistent based on what's listed, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.

I’ve had a great couple of visits to The Yard whilst in Coventry for the weekend. This evening I headed along by myself for something to eat and was frankly astonished by the incredible cauliflower steak Sunday roast. Had the choice of vegan or vegetarian, I went for vegetarian. What was delivered to my table was just brilliant: a generous cauliflower steak cooked to perfection with every possible trimming you could want. Even a jug of extra gravy! After a day wandering Coventry and skipping lunch I thought I had a healthy appetite but this catered for that and more. With a great pint of Guinness and incredibly warm, friendly service, I extend a heartfelt thank you to Keelan, Addie & Sarah front of house and Jodie and Stuart in the kitchen. For someone who normally doesn’t have the self-confidence to visit a pub or bar by myself, you all made me feel exceptionally welcome in this great city. Thank you!

Absolutely fabulous sunday lunch at the yard this afternoon 😍 all the staff were absolutely lovely, but a special shout out to Damon, Simone, and the two Chefs Stuart and Jordan. Everything was wonderfully cooked and catered well to me being vegetarian, which was appreciated. Can't wait to come back, thanks for the fabulous sunday treat!
