About This Pub
Ah, The Willow Walk – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon spots that you can always count on for a solid night out without the hefty price tag. From what I've gathered from folks' chats, the breakfasts are an absolute winner, with generous servings that keep you going all day, and the drinks selection is spot on for whiling away an afternoon. The staff really shine too; they're friendly and on point, making you feel right at home even in the hustle and bustle. It's brilliantly placed near Victoria Station, so it's ideal if you're zipping through London or just need a quick refuel. On the flip side, it does get rammed on busier days, which might cramp your style if you're after a quiet corner, and being part of a chain, it doesn't have that quirky edge some prefer. All in all, it's a top choice for value and convenience, but keep in mind it might not be the place for a truly intimate catch-up. If you're a fan of straightforward, no-fuss pubs, you'll likely leave with a smile.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a brilliant spot for a budget-friendly pint or meal without breaking the bank.
-
They serve up generous portions, especially for breakfast, which leaves you feeling well satisfied after a visit.
-
The staff are friendly and well-trained, always ready with a smile and efficient service that makes you feel welcome.
-
It's conveniently located near Victoria Station, perfect for a quick stop before catching a train or exploring London.
-
There's a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits, plus a cosy, authentic pub atmosphere that's more inviting than some other spots.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, particularly on Fridays, which might mean a bit of a wait or a crowded space if you're after a relaxed evening.
-
Some reviews mention mixed experiences in the past, so it might not always hit the mark depending on the day.
-
As a chain pub, it lacks that unique, one-of-a-kind charm you sometimes find in independent places, feeling a tad standardised.

Despite the pre-trip research of reviews which were sometimes mixed I can say that we had nothing but a variety of excellent breakfast selections of generous portions at unexpectedly reasonable prices.
If you research the history of the very successful owner who named the franchise after the dullard of a teacher who told him he would never amount to anything, you will see his reasons for making meals affordable at his establishments.
From simple toast and marmalade, to a bacon butty, to the full English FAMOUS BREAKFAST the food was terrific. To top it off each morning the deep and rich LAVAZZA COFFEE machine consistently prepared superb espresso.
To add to the social consciousness of the WEATHERSPOON franchise there is a marvelous reminder in the washrooms (BOTH male and female) of the ANGELA warning system for dating posted.
My. husband and I were invited to Buckingham palace for the garden party so we had breakfast and evening meal they were lovely and hot and a friendly service I would recommend it if you are going to London
I have to give 5* for "old times sake." I have spent many hours here waiting for the cheap evening trains out of Victoria Station opposite. What I saved on trains I spent on the beer. Madge and Casta never been before. The staff were the best trained in the Spoons empire. Even on a rammed Friday home time staff used eyes and ears to know who to serve next. A skill sadly lacking in many pubs where " who's next?" rings out. Still great service and great real ale selection. Casta chose for me, Twickenham Grandstand 3.8% session bitter. Super. London Spoons prices at £4.44 but used a CAMRA 50p discount voucher. ( GK IPA only £2.79) Madge and Mrs took Strongbow dark fruit then raspberry vodkas. Stayed for three pints. Ten real ales to chose from today. Cask Marque. CAMRA regular. One of the smaller Spoons accessed from the street at both ends.
Nice Wetherspoons close to Victoria station. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits like most Wetherspoons. Staff are friendly and food is ok
That's a cool Wetherspoons, way more authentic and nice-looking pub than the one that's inside of the Victoria Station, but the distance between them is like 2 min of walk.
In general, it's a nice place where you can eat, drink, chat with friends even to play some "fortune games" at the machines.
You can't beat a Wetherspoons value for money in 2025.
Everything was delicious, and I felt very good inside .
